It's been 3 months since we set our wedding date and it was just brought to my attention that our date falls on father's day I can't believe I had no idea!
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for something we can do at the wedding in honor of father's day. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks everyone! I like the idea of giving something to the fathers. Maybe boutonneires or something?
To be honest, my relationship with my father is not great right now. That's one of the reasons why I'm kicking myself for not realizing the date!

if you are having a large wedding, boutineers might end up being very costly....I would do a special toast

I like the dance idea.
but then again, all I give my dad for Fathers day is a bag of M&Ms. So maybe I'm not a good authority on this

I would say do something small.. maybe a toast.. special mention.. or a dance.. all the fathers will have plenty more fathers day's (hopefully) but you only have one wedding!

ITA!!!! Something small would be nice. After all it is YOUR wedding day and that doesn't happen every year like father's day does.

i agree w/ the song...maybe during dinner just have the band/dj be like, this is a song to honor all of the fathers present

Thanks for the great ideas! And thank you for reminding me that father's day comes every year but that my wedding doesn't. I feel like I keep forgetting that and worry about everyone elses needs over my own. I will try to remember what you said when I start feeling bad again that I am taking over their father's day plans. Thanks again!!!
