Fathers role

My parents both passed away when I was about 14. My Aunt and her husband became my guardians at that time - I have never been really close to them, a lot of 'family issues' came about at that time. Anyway, my brother will be walking me down the aisle in place of my father. But I wasn''''''''''''''''t sure how to handle all of those other 'parent' roles at the wedding. His parents are together and I didn''''''''''''''''t want to just skip the mother son dance and parent introductions. It just doesn''''''''''''''''t feel right to me to dance with my Uncle though because I don''''''''''''''''t feel that close to him. Any suggestions?

Why not dance with your brother?

My husband had a similar situation, and he danced with his sister. It was really beautiful

Well you can just do the Mother Son Dance I don't think this would be strange. Or you can Dance with your brother, just pick an appropriate song. I can't think of any now and don't know how close you are to him. As far as introductions just introduce his parents. Don't introduce you aunt and uncle if you don't want to honor them. We are just introducing My mother in law not my father in law even though he is attending the wedding. He hasn't been a part of his life since he was 13. Good Luck with what ever you decide.
