Favor help!

Ladies! I have gone back and forth about favors. Glad I didn't purchase them already because I change my mind weekly.
What is everyone doing and why?

well, im having a fall theme wedding so as of now i am going with the leaf shaped maple syrup bottles.
not to offend anyone, but im tired of the whole candle, frame, etc. favor

i think my family over did the candle things so i thought the maple syrup bottle was different and fit our theme.

if i dont do the syrup maybe we'll do the mini wine bottles with a cute label!!

We are doing a swan theme and found these cute metal swans w/ swarvoski crystal for wings. They are gorgeous and they will also double as name tags.

I am thinking about doing espresso cups. It's something that ties both of our families together. They both love to drink epsresso

very cute amanda, ive seen this a few times... looks so cute

DAMN i wish i chose November instead of july!!!!! I love fall themes!!! My colors are SO fall-ish and i didnt even realize as i picked them out until my florist told me.. im doing brown dresses with orange/yellow/ ivory flowers... he was like- well since its in JULY maybe we can put in a little GREEN so it wont be so fall-ish

AW, im sure your fall colors will look beautiful in july!!! i WISH i could have had a spring/summer wedding!!!!!! Ya know what though............ppl really dont go by seasons anymore....its what you want when you want it!!!!!
you can still plan a fallish theme and have it in the summer!!!!

Donation Favors.....

& Why? We both said we'd rather donate the money we would've spent on favors that some guests would just throw out. This is not to say giving favors is a bad idea, we just prefered to do it a different way.

My sister did coasters & I use mine all the time!

I want mini carved candles wrapped in toule and with a personalized ribbon. Kind of like this but its only 3' tall and in light green

I am doing the same thing. I have a fall theme.

we plan on doing mugs (we haven't figured out what to write on them... and no saucer)

and either filling them with something chocolate, or putting those cute personalized coffee packages in them (or hot chocolate for the kids!) ... but I think we'll do the candy



as for why ....
we both love coffee (FH is kind of a fanatic though!) and everytime we go on a trip, we buy mugs as souvenirs. (we have a whole collection now from barcelona, madrid, florence... even san francisco!) so we thought it would be a nice idea

We will be giving a donation to both the American Cancer Society and ASPCA.

Im having a candy apple

cellophaned wrapped then boxed like this (champagne not brown ribbon though)

and in the box will be a cardstock with this saying

We're going with something functional too. I love to bake and my FH loves to cook. A few that we are thinking about are measuring spoons, cookie cutters, coffee scoop, ice scoop, etc. I like the idea that when the person uses it they'll remember it came from us.
