Wholesale places online...

Hey! I am looking for the same type of thing. I've been doing research online and came across Mason Jars for 50 cents!!!! and up depending on the size you want.

I have the website bookmarked at home so tonight I'll post it for you!

I didn't want to pay above a dollar each just for supplies for the favors I'm planning to make!!!!

Between the both of us we'll find the least expensive supplier!!! Oh and they were REAL glass so not made any differently I don't think!

Re: Found the site!!!

my cousin did this...she made homemade jelly and it was a big hit!!!

she took a small piece of fabric, cut in a circle and scalloped edges...and tied it to each lid and put a lable with their names and date...

good luck

Thanks for the info and...

I am only looking for the mugs...I go back and forth about favor ideas...my FMIL and i were brainstorming last night (she's very crafty) and I told her how I want to give out mugs with hot chocolate (we're having a winter wedding)...so she had the idea of mason jar mugs filled with hot cocoa, making the fabric tops and labels with our names and the wedding dates. I found the following site, but I don't know if it's what your looking for.

http://doitbest.com/shop/find2.asp?find_spec=mason+jar+drinking+mug&mbrid=4724&mscssid=65LPLM81CNSR2P6P00JP48NH716P2DBA&SAFE=1&redir=

I then found these things called 'chocolate spoons'. They are spoons dipped in chocolate, and you can put them in coffee to flavor it...I can even make them! I am now considering putting those in mugs. Which idea do you like better??

Re: Pepper...

I'm glad you like the chocolate spoon idea. I would probably just wrap the top of the spoon (the part that is chocolate covered) in a clear cellophane bag that you get from a chocolate store, then tie the neck with ribbon that we will have printed with our names and wedding date. My girls are in black and white, so I would love to get a black ribbon with white writing, AND make the spoons covered in dark and white chocolate! If we go this route, we will not be getting the mason jar mugs - we will get regular white mugs...I saw a wholesaler online who does them for like $1.50 each. I would ideally like to give one mug with 2 spoons in them for each couple.

I love your candle idea and definitely think it is feasible to make them...I would love to get a favor like that. How many guests do you have? If you don't have too many, and you are hand-making your favors, it will definitely keep costs down!!

That gel candle stuff scares me becuase someone told me that the gel doesn't solidify like wax does if it happens to find its way onto a floor, table or wall. So it can burn what it lands on or even start a fire. Just wanted to pass that along and something I learned at a candle party - you can take regular wax candles and melt them in the microwave and then pour it into whatever container you want. You need to take the wick out first though. The woman was explaining how you can refill jar-like containers that come with candles.

I have been toying with the idea myself and just wanted to share. I think that wax candles are cheaper than the gel, too, but I am not really sure about that.
