Re: favorite cookware

I love cast iron. I have a $20 frying pan that I use a lot. It's great because you can put it on the stove and/or in the oven.

I REAAAAAALLLY want a Le Creuset stock pot. The one I want is like $250 though! One day.....

I also love my Henckels knives and my KitchenAid mixer!

I am a clay baker and it is amazing and one of my favorite things ever!! You never tasted such great chicken or beef stew.

I want to get a cast iron dutch oven too. but darn, thoses things are heavy.

I am a kitchen stuff junkie so I love lots of casserole pans, pie pans, spring form pans etc...

I have Mauviel Copper cookware, and I love it! I also love the look of them (From Williams-Sonoma)

I'm going crazy with the copper accessories...ie, mixing bowls, kettles, etc.

Re: favorite cookware

I would LOVE a cooper cookware set, but I think with my electric stove it is a waste of money. I cannot really get the benefit out of them without a gas stove
but I am dying for a cooper bowl to whisk eggwhites in- that is the best bowl for it.
And these look great on a pot rack too.

I used to have this huge double-burner cast iron skillet-thing...I loved it. It made the best cajun chicken, but I couldn't figure out how to clean it properly (it ended up rusting) so I had to throw it away

eroxgirl - you need to make sure that you clean it right away and also dry it right away. If you don't, it'll rust. FH just ruined my cast iron skillet - he left it wet overnight. Luckily they're cheap though.
Also, don't forget to cure cast iron (although Lodge sells pre-cured cast iron now).
