Favorite Soup

Just curious. I love soup and can practically eat it any night, even though it is seen as a winter thing.

What are some of your favorites?? I love tomato and cream of mushroom

Corn & Green Chili Bisque
Pumkin Soup
Corn Chowder
-all from Au Bon Pan

I also love homemade Cavatelli & Escarole soup (in a chicken stock/garlic base)

Do you consider Chili a soup? I do, but FH doesn't. He eats his with rice, I eat mine with a roll or breadsticks.

Those all sounds soooo good. I had pumpkin soup once before and thought I would hate it, but I loved it. Now I must try the ones at Au Bon Pan. I am a HUGE soup fan and tend to go to Hale & Hearty a lot, but sometimes they don't have my favorites. I love cheddar & broccoli and their green & yellow split pea

My dad makes a soup similar to cavatelli & escarole. He makes it with tortellini and escarole, with tiny little meatballs in a chicken stock . We usually have that every year at Thanksgiving and its absolutely delicious!!! My entire family waits all year for it

Your dad makes Italian Wedding Soup ... or that's what that sounds like at least ... it's usually made with orchette but I've had it with tortelinni too ... yummmmy...

I went to hale & heary this week ... it's very face paced in there - a little too many choices, line goed to fast - I was very overwhelmed ... felt like I was at the Soup Nazi (although the staff was friendlier!! )
But I had the white tuscan bean & escarole soup ... it was very good.

They're opening a Hale and Hearty right downstairs - I can't wait for them to hurry up and finish the place! It was supposed to be done in September!

I've had carrot soup w/ ginger that I thought I died and gone to heaven it was so good.

Pumpkin soup is good too

Tomato florentine is one of my favorites as well as Manhattan Clam Chowder (has to be a decent restaurant though and preferable a seafood restaurant).

Oh and my friend makes this AWESOME Maryland Crab soup. I will have to post the recipe for you all. It is so delicious.
