since my last name is Forde and Fi last name is Dodge, we are giving car placecard frames and at each setting there will be a chinese take out box filled with hershey kisses with labels saying ' Best Wishes, With lots of Kisses, from the new Mr. and Mrs.
What a cute phrase...never heard it before!!!
We were going to do the CD favors but haven't quite deciding yet...that or maybe personalized playing cards.....

I wanted to do a donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, but that idea got nixed by FI and my mom.. So I put my mom in charge of favors.. She wants to get something useful.. she was thinking about 4 x 6 picture frames or these photo ablums
We're going to do the CD's ourselves. I bought a box of 100 cd cases at staples for $15, and a case of blank cd's for less than $50. We will burn them on our computer and print out labels.

We're also doing donations but I decided to also have a candy buffet so people can take home something.

We are getting married in May so we figured it would be nice to have some sort of Spring theme. When Franks Nursery was going out of business they had these boxes of potpurri...with actual silk flowers and a scented oil sachet (sp?). They are tall boxes with lots of potpurri. Let me tell you, we ended up buying two Franks out of these sets. My mom bought ribbon and with her creative ideas she's going to tie a bow onto the box and have our names attached. She also has other ideas in mind...thinking of attaching stained glass butterflies. Then we are going to transform this into part of our centerpiece. We are still piecing it all together but tentatively for now, this is what we have in mind. One of these days I'll take a pic and you gals can tell me what you think!! Input is always greatly appreciated!!

I'm thinking about doing a donation in honor of my uncle who died of cancer, but not sure b/c my FH grandmother died a few years ago and my grandmother past away in July, so I don't want anyone to get mad that I made the donation in my uncles name.
I was looking at YankeeCandle.com and was thinking of doing personal candles. If you get more then 55 they are $4 each

We are making soap to go with our theme. Our theme is bears, and we found a cute mold with 2 bears hugging each other. Hope everyone likes it.

We got ours already as they were on sale.... we got 3 stainless steel heart shaped cookie cutters that say 'Cut our for love' We are going to come up with our own receipe and attach them to the box. I just thought it wa s cute idea and who doesn't like cookies?!

My fiance's sister passed away from cancer in Feb after being ill for a long time so we are going to do a donation to the American Cancer Society in her memory. We will make up a little scroll telling the guests that is what we are doing and then probably tie it around a little bag of hershey's kisses or something like that. We wanted her to be a part of our day in some way.

My favorite scratch off packaging is from www.blissweddingsmarket.com
They sell glassine envelopes and suggest that you put in a penny with your wedding year for the guests to 'scratch' with. They also sell labels separately. In their sample, they have cute labels that say 'Lucky in Love' with the wedding date.
Well when i have the time to do a sample i will let post it. My favor idea is this small favor bag/box that will have the small chocolate bar and hopefully if i find them a small small teddy bear with red heart or white heart. Since the theme is red and white.
Emmanuel always gave me teddy bears with every occasion and i love chocolate. So it will be a little bit of both of us people will be taking with them. Oh and a picture of us that we are going to do a few months before the wedding.

We are doing a donation in memory of my grandmother that passed away in January 04 from Parkinsons Disease...I will also be making silk roses to attach the memorial cards to so people know what we did...
