Re: Favors??
I think a little favor is always nice, even if it's just a little candy bar with a personalized wrapper, or a bookmark. those things are the least expensive, I think. I made my favors, which are magnets, and they cost about 30 cents each to make, but were time consuming. good luck!

Re: Favors??
I definitely think you should give ANYTHING within your budget. Something is always nice.

Re: Favors??
I agree also. No matter how small, give a little something. Your guests will be looking for it.

Re: Favors??
YOu can give a small gift. Even hersey kisses wrapped in tulle with a note 'Kisses from the bride and groom' is nice.

Re: Favors??
Michele31...the little note with the kisses is such a cute touch, and won't really cost much at all. Thanks for the idea!

Re: Favors??
Kim,Why don't you make Hershey Kisses Roses?!
I made them to give away as a second favor, they are really easy to make and costs very little to make!!! You buy the floral wire already cut (I bought the ones already wrapped in green) at any craft store, I found them at Joanne's, you can also find them in Michaels or Franks Nurseries. You buy Red Glad Cling Wrap & Red Tulle, Green Floral Tape and the Hershey's Kisses & assemble the roses, you can have your bridal party help you & have a fun time making them. I made 60 roses for less than $20!!!
Here's a pic.... I hope this helps!

Re: Favors??
You can always make a donation to a favorite charity and leave a note for each guest: 'A donation in your name has been made to...' You can keep the donation as small or big as you want, it's a tax write off and you're doing a good thing for a good cause...

Re: Favors??
There are a lot of options that are great and very cheap - I happen to be doing 2 of them. But in my opinion, if you can't do a favor that adds to the decor/theme/ambiance or isn't something your guests would enjoy - skip it.

Farah...how on earth did you ever think of that?!! I think that is a fantastic idea! I can think of so many that I would love to give $ to. I am going to talk that over with my FH.

Re: Favors??
jpsgirl...I LOVE the magnet. I can't believe you did that yourself! I don't have the talent to do that, but I may enlist the help of my mom if I decide to go with that idea. Thanks again, and best wishes for the 12th!!!

Re: Favors??
i really just have to say, I have NO talent in that area, you really don't need any! I bought ceramic tiles very cheap and some stencil paint, and I ordered an ink stamp with those words on it. I stamped the words on and then stenciled the design, wrote in our names and date and sprayed them with laquer. My friends are all laughing at me because I am the one with no creative streak whatsoever!

Re: Favors??
I went to a wedding last year and there was no favor, and I did not even notice until a friend told me when I was deciding the same thing. Also, I have gotten favors and thrown them out almost immediatly. Don't strap yourself financially, unless it is something really speacial to you - not something just to have SOMETHING. My opinion anyway. We are doing a donation to the American Heart Assoc. in FH's Father's memory.

Re: Favors??
I agree with all the other posts. There are favors to give in such a wide range of prices. Even if you find something super inexpensive, I think it is nice to have something for your guests.
