Heather, do you know anyone crafty who could do it for you? I was thinking of hand painting wine glasses myself as the favor before I found the chip and dip bowl I'm doing. My thought was to get wine glasses from ikea and then practice painting on an old mirror.....do you think this is something you could learn how to do? I'd have to see how I am, but maybe come summer time I could help you out.....
I dont know. Maybe I could try one out and see. Do you know what kind of paint to get?

I heard a rumor that I MIGHT be able to get them for $6 each if I tried really hard, but thats not much of a savings. I have no idea where else to look. Here they are:

I'm not too artistic either, so i cant imagine how mine would turn out. I'm going to peruse the internet and see what I can find.

Re: Favors
I haven't officially looked yet, but the ones that I'm liking online and stuff are around $6-$9.00 each piece.....I have no clue what we're doing yet. We figured $10.00 and under for favors though.

Mine are $6.75 and we're doing one per couple...the $6.75 also includes wrapping and personalized ribbons and stuff though...
ETA: can;t post pics from home...they're in my album...there's more from myitalianweddingfavors.com
We're doing 6 diff patterns in total. They're all handpainted from italy. We got them from The Wedding Coach in Brooklyn and they had a WHOLE bunch of other stuff! Good luck!
omg the stuff on that site is beautiful! what did get? im looking at the expresso sets right now and its for a couple for $4.75 thats pretty good...u think people would like those?
Those are GORGEOUS in person too!!! My MOH did espresso sets from there. GO THERE AND NEGOTIATE!!! I think she paid about $4.50 for everything including wrapping and personaized ribbon!!!
my favors are like $8 on that site...i am actually paying about $5.50 per favor and $1.25 to wrap it....
Rosella paid $3.50 per favor and $1.00 to wrap. She also had hand made doilies on top with the confetti in them...they just looked beautiful...hang on let me get a pic..
HERE YA GO!-from their wedding
wow thanks for the pic they look gorgeous! i showed fh them a few minutes ago and he thinks there nice but said 'what will my friends do with those??' lol oh well ill have to convince him bc i think they are nice and different from the traditional favor and reasonably priced!
YEa they have a whole bunch of other stuff too...there's s crystal ice bucket and tong set for about $5 that was really nice too!!! We considered that as well!!!...you can stick a small bottle of champagne in there and make it all festive like that- it wouldbe really nice too and funtion al for everyone!

I noticed you mentioned Ikea, I have a suggestion. I'm also going to paint wine glasses for my favors (although it's getting awfully close and I haven't even started yet ), but I bought my glasses at Bed Bath and Beyond. A box of 12 costs $9.99 and I also used the 20% coupon on every box I bought (even if they are expired they will still honor them). Each glass ends up coming out to around 67 cents a piece and there are 3 different styles - goblet, balloon and flute. Here is the link in case you guys are interested. I did a lot of research a while back including Ebay and this was the cheapest price I found, they are great glasses and they feel like they will be hearty enough to work with without feeling like they are too delicate.

Re: Favors
Between the glasses, the paint I will be using and I plan to put Hershey Kisses in them also, I can't see that I will be paying more than $1 to $1.50 per person either.
