Favors

We are making candles in clay pots. Its timeconsuming but when you see it finished its lovely. We are adding color to match the BM dresses and scents so they are nice smelling.

We are doing the personalized CD's also. We have 20 songs on it. It really sounds wonderful and I like the idea of making something that people will use. Lisa

Favors - chocolates and cigars

We did small boxes with handmade chocolates. I got the boxes from www.romanticflowers.com and the chocolates came from somewhere near Mom's house in Arizona. We had a fun 'surprise' at the rehearsal dinner that would make a good favor for the guys too. A friend showed up with hand-rolled cigars that had custom cigarbands that had our names and wedding date on it. It was a big hit with the guys. You can find them at www.cigarzdirect.com

Do you know where I can get a template for the candy wrappers? Thanks!

Kate-Candy Wrappers, what I did

I know you asked Elizabeth, but I made the wrappers also. I just bought a Hershey bar, unwrapped it, and scanned the wrapper into the computer for the template. Using Print Shop I designed my own label and printed it out on glossy paper, two to a page. They came out great!

Elizabeth

I made up a template in Powerpoint, starting with a box the size of the candy wrapper and then adjusted it. It was a bit of work but I really like to play around with stuff like that on the computer so I didn`t mind. I put clipart of a cake on the front and our names and date and then a banner that read 'Just married' was draped along the bottom. On the back I put the names of the wedding party, ingredients like love, patience, laughter, respect etc. and even made a bar code with our wedding date in it. I looked at a few websites and came up with my own design incorporating the things I liked best. We gave them out as we went around to the tables. Candy bars at price club were appx $10 for 30. Let me know if I can tell you anything more...

Favors...

We're having a medieval wedding, so we're giving out sword-shaped letter openers, also used as place card holders.
