Favors -- When do I order?

My RSVP reply date is August 23, one month before my wedding. When should I order my favors?

The wedding is in the Hamptons, so we're doing miniature adirondack chairs. The back of the chairs is a photo frame. I posted a link below:

Very cute! As long as you have a place to store them you can order them whenever you want. But if you are trying to only order as many as you get RSVPs for, you should check with the place you are buying them from to see how long it takes for an order to come in.

I'm having them also and I'm going to order mine in about a week.

I think it takes 2 weeks (contact them though) for the M&M's to come in...so to be safe, I'd order them no more than ONE month in advance.

Given the heat we're experiencing, I think you should wait!

As someone suggested, I contacted the company I am ordering from for more information. I checked out the M&M website. Here's what they said:

How should I store my candies until my event?
They can be stored in the shipping container until you're ready. Ideal conditions are between 65 and 75 degrees F. Please do not refrigerate.

My party is not for awhile—can I order in advance?
During checkout, you can place an order for us to process at a later date. Simply choose the date in the space provided during checkout, and we'll process your order on that date. You can expect your order to arrive within approximately 12 - 17 business days of that date.

I looks like it takes a few weeks for the order to come in. So, maybe order them around the beginning of September?

I ordered and received mine about 2 months ago. I purposely ordered extras b/c even if people don't show up or respond no, they may still give a gift. If they send a gift, you should still send them and thank you...and I'd like to give them a favor as well.
