Re: Feb. Brides, Where are you?
Planning is going good. And you? I can't believe we are at three and a half months already. FH and I are so excited. I think my shower is this Saturday. Boy is that going to make it feel real!! I can't believe how fast the time is flying. Everyone said it would go fast, but I never thought this fast. I am trying to stay calm and get things done little by little, but it is not easy. I just want to get everything done at once. We are going to go pick out our cake and menu in the coming weeks so that will be good. We also started meeting with our priest and will go back to meet him in a couple weeks to start planning everything. I am so excited and can't wait for the big day!!!How is everyone else's planning going. I hope you are all staying as stress free as possible.
Glad to hear that things are going well. Everything is moving along for us too. We picked up our rings this weekend and meet with the priest. Time is going fast! Good luck to all of you, i hope we all keep in touch through these next few CRAZY months.

Who is going on their honeymoon in Hawaii? We will be there Feb 10-Feb20. We are island hopping to Kaui, Ohau, and Maui.
You too Juju? LOL! I am not going to let him see this or he will think it's ok!

Re: Feb. Brides, Where are you?
Hi Everyone:
I'm Feb. 2004 also, but just got engaged less than a month ago!! I thought I had all of the planning covered, but I just got into an argument with my FH over invitations!! I had asked him to take care of it in the first place because he is in London and it's one of the few things he can do from there, and also because I'm not very concerned over them. Now he's upset with me because I said I don't really care
Guess I should be happy that he does care so much, but with so little time for planning, it's a detail I'm not too worried about...
sigh!

Re: Feb. Brides, Where are you?
USUK, Congrats on your engagement! Planning could sometimes lead to minor arguments, but I am sure things will be fine. As for the invites, we still have not ordered ours yet. But, we will soon, so don't worry. I feel that having a February wedding, the vendors are not as busy. So far, I love the fact that we are getting married in February because I wasn't and still not worried about hiring vendors! So far, we have been lucky to hire vendors who were not booked. And if it makes you feel a little better, we haven't booked our photographer/videographer. Yes, we are nuts! So what have you done so far? YOu will get so many ideas and feedback on this website! Let me know if you have any questions!

Re: Feb. Brides, Where are you?
Alias, I am getting frustrated because he won't ask anyone else. He feels that he should ask friends to be groomsmen who have known him since birth. (kidding of course) But, he has very close friends and yet, because he has known them for about 2 years or so, he feels uncomfortable. He is really pissing me off, especially because we need to send out invites next month or early December. He says, 'I'll figure something out.' He is so stubborn sometimes. aaaah, I had to vent. Thanks gals! LOL

Re: Feb. Brides, Where are you?
I know exactly what you are going through. I am getting married on Valentine's Day and my fiance complains about everything lol. Groomsmen aren't our problem since we have two best men and one usher. I don't think you need to match your bridesmaids with the exact amount of groomsmen.

Re: Feb. Brides, Where are you?
I think that getting married quickly and getting married in the dead of winter has been a blessing so far! Only one reception site I called was booked and the others are throwing everything but the kitchen sink in!! I guess FEbruary is a slow month to begin with and if they haven't booked the date by now, chances are they won't. I don't think we would've been able to afford our site (Raphael Winery) if it wasn't Feb.
Valentinesbride: Glad to hear I'm not alone!! We just got engaged in Sept.
Juju: so far we've booked site, I've ordered my dress and shoes, got my MOH's dress (just today) and I'm going to call Duet--they have the date available but FI and I are still arguing over video (he doesn't think it's necessary, I don't want to regret not having it). Will probably go talk to florist tomorrow. Just worried about church (pre-cana is hard when you live in separate countries!!) and DJ. Then I can relax!!
Any suggestions on a DJ? I think I've got church under control...
I am sending mine out teh day after Thanksgiving. I want to have them in teh mail before teh rush of holiday cards. I have half a guest list!

Re: Feb. Brides, Where are you?
USUK, we are also calling duet this week. They have our date available! As for the florist we are using Jack and Rose. Flower Michele was a close first. But, the price was better with Jack. AS for a DJ, we are using a band. Sorry, but I am sure the girls here can give you feedback! Good luck and keep us posted!

Re: Feb. Brides, Where are you?
Valentine's Bride, Congrats on your engagement! How nice, Oheka! I have been getting the usual from everyone about getting married in February, but I think it will be beautiful! With a light snow. The nice part of having our wedding in February is that FEbruary is a short month and we will be in Hawaii for about 12 days and California for 3. Which means that our winter in NY will be shortened! Woo hoo!!
Alias, yes, I thought about that...I don't want our invites to be mixed in with holiday cards.

Re: Feb. Brides, Where are you?
usuk,....I absolutely loved Raphael Winery. That was where my fiance and I were going to have the wedding.....however, it was a tad too small for the 200 plus people we are having. Where are you getting married ? Near the fireplace or staircase ? I am a bit concerned about the weather.....but I couldn't turn down Feb 14 and I have the week ahead off, so maybe I can convince my fiance for a honeymoon. That's our big difference right now.
