Feel like crying. throwing up, freaking out...FH was...

Let go from his job.

His paycheck is our PRIMARY source of income. I don''t know what we're going to do. Without that paycheck, we can barely make ends meet.

And get this he was let go from his job at the post office because (he got into a fender bender, going 5 miles an hour) and they told him he had to pay $8000 or he would be fired. Of course federal employees are not liable for it so he denied. So they told him, he was terminated. SOo upset and my dad wants to hire a lawyer.

If you're a lawyer pllleeeeaaassse give me some insight.

I'm having a meltdown and don't knoiw what we're going to do.....

oh no! im sorry!! the reason for termination doesnt sound very legit to me, im not a lawyer but i dont think they can give him an ultimatum like that, idk

so sorry, i hope he finds something fast!

This does not sound right to me, you should talk to a lawyer. For now he should be able to collect unemployment benefits. . . I think

OMG!! i am so sorry! i agree with Joanna- It doesnt sound right to me. I work for the city and in the past year there has been quite a few of the inspectors that have gotten into accidents and not 1 of them had to pay a fine OR got fired. It happens to the best of dirvers. I would defiantely get a lawyer.

That is awful! I'm soo sorry!!! I am not a lawyer either but that doesn't sound right at all...

once the shock wears off, I'm sure you and FH will be able to sit down and put together a game plan

That's ridiculous!

So sorry for your FH but don't worry - you'll find a way to make ends meet. In the meanwhile, unemployment can help.

I'm so sorry. I know how you feel. FH lost his job in January. Thankful my income is enough to support us, but it is definitely hard. Contact a lawyer right away and apply for unemployment benefits in the meantime.

That's the biggest bunch of BS. My dad was a mailman and they get into accidents ALL the time. That's what they have insurance for. Have your FH call his supervisors boss. It sounds like he works for a real a$$hole. I would also call the department of labor and contact an atty.

Just try and breathe. I know its easier said than done.

I'm not a lawyer and I don't know what advice to give, but I'm so sorry that you are going through this right now....I pray and hope that all turns out for the best..... Try to hang in there....every thing happens for a reason, so they say
