HEY, JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE ELSE IS FEELING A LITTLE DEPRESSED WITH THE PLANNING??? I AM HAPPY, ITS JUST WHEN YOU REALLY THINK ABOUT ALL THE MONEY AND PLANNING ITS A LITTLE DEPRESSING. DEFINITLEY WHEN MONEY IS ALITTLE TIGHT. I THINK...HOLY **** HOW AM I GOING TO SAVE ENOUGH TO PAY FOR ALL OF THIS?? I KNOW ITS A STRESSFUL, AND EVERYTHING WILL TURN OUT GREAT, BUT SOMETIMES I REALLY WISH I CAN JUST SKIP THE WHOLE WEDDING THING ITSELF AND JUST BE MARRIED ALREADY!!
AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO FEELS THIS WAY??
JUST HAD TO GET THA T OUT!!

Re: FEELING ALITTLE DEPRESSED
Oh I definitely feel that way sometimes. Between work and trying to get all this done and having no family members or MOHs around... it's really hard! But the day will definitely be worth it when everyone you love is there to watch you marry your one true love! And in the long run, whether you had tall or short centerpieces or were able to get the perfect color of napkin isn't going to matter a bit!!!! (Even if we all think it does right now!)
So, chin up - everything will be great!!!

Not at all. Try having a newborn, and having only FH work Granted I go back to work on the 19th, but money lost is well.....just lost. Your not the only one. Each of us has circumstances that make us feel this way. Just like we overcome everything else, this will be just another bridge we cross. Keep your chin up

Re: FEELING ALITTLE DEPRESSED
I understand how you're feeling. Sometimes I think, let's just use the money towards a house, let's go travel all over, use it for something that will last more than a day....but, I have always thought about my wedding day, and I think I would regret not having a wedding with all my friends and family there. (plus our parents would most likely kill us...haha)

I have felt that way for a bit. . .probably a little while after I got engaged. But you just have to figure out what you really really want and what you need. You have to put money away which is also hard to do and just keep thinking about how happy your going to be that day. All the hard work is all going to pay off.

I've thought about it too. I'm trying to keep all costs down so that we can celebrate our special day amongst family and close friends.

Re: FEELING ALITTLE DEPRESSED
We all feel that way sometimes I'm like this all the time We should of eloped and taken the money and bought a house...this this week next week is that ones bday and then shower, christening...the list goes on...it is fun but stressful but its suppose to be a one shot deal and a fairytale day for us ladies so try not to stress too much about the money. Try to make wiser decisions and keep within your means and budget!!!

Re: FEELING ALITTLE DEPRESSED
It is a bit scary to think of how much money we'll be spending on one day, but it's one of the most important days of our lives, so to me it's worth it. And I try not to think about it too much and concentrate on the fact that FH and I are going to finally be married!!

EVERYDAY!!!!!!!!
it happens! it's a stressful time...and to top it off you feel like a) you'll never have enough money for it all and b) the big day will NEVER get here!
i'm about 5 months out and i really have no clue how the hell we're gonna pay for it...but i know it will get handled in the end...SOMEHOW. but in the meantime, i've had about 3 emotional breakdowns with sobbing and hugging my FH saying 'how are we gonna do this?'
you are not alone!

Re: FEELING ALITTLE DEPRESSED
I know exactly how you feel too. I just got my masters in school counseling in May, but never found a job since there are so many graduates and so few jobs. Now FH and I have school loans to pay off and car loans and just got our first place in July. Makes eloping sound so appealing. One of my friends is going to Vegas next month to get married and I couldn't believe how cheap it will be for her....airfare for 35 people, ten days there in the Venetian Hotel, and all the other expenses for under 10K. I just know that we would regret not having all of our friends and family there for our day. I know it will be worth it for all of us when we walk down that aisle.

Re: FEELING ALITTLE DEPRESSED
I feel the same way. Fh and I were just having a 'discussion' about finances-I want a wedding and a house and he wants a $2000 guitar amp! He thinks I am being unreasonable-but after 12 guitars and four amps-I am getting a little tired. I know he just paid off my E-ring and wants to splurge-but he just bought a $200 guitar last week. It is frustrating when we used to be able to buy whatever, whenever, but now we are saving and it is frustrating!!!!!!

Re: FEELING ALITTLE DEPRESSED
I was like that last week and a few weeks before that. My mother and a few girls from the site made me feel better. I actually cancelled the whole recep and said we were just going to City Hall and calling it a day. Dont worry though, it'll be fine
