Feeling really down...

Feeling really down...

Hey Girls! I kind of need your help right now. I am not sure what is going on with me but I feel so low lately. There have been a couple of issues lately. FH and I have had two minor arguments in the past two weeks and we very rarely argue. Then my boss was in the hospital and being really nasty to all the staff that was here working and carrying him. Then my father, who is a very abusive person, and I have distanced myself from greatly, came to visit this past weekend, which was hard and still has me in a funk. Then I didn't wake up this morning for work. My mom called me this morning at 8:15, when I am normally in the car and I hadn't even gotten out of bed yet because I forgot to set my alarm

Then I get to work a half hour late and find out my closest friend at work was in a head on collision last night and is alright but is home resting as she is very very bruised and scraped and sore. I Just feel like everything is happening at once and I feel very overwhelmed and depressed. We were supposed to go to a friends beach house in VA this weekend but that is canceled due to weather, which I guess is better cuz then FH and I can just relax at home and recoup. I don't know I just don't really feel myself and I am not sure if it is because of all these incidents or if I am just really depressed and in a funk and can't seem to get out of it.

FH and I have been doing a lot of little wedding planning things that we need to do. I called the RD site last night to book and confirm time and number of guests. We are putting the guest list in final form to give to the calligrapher in mid October. We have to put together the invitations and order our rings. A week from today FH and his groomsmen are getting fitted and ordering the tuxes. I got all the supplies for my DIY unity candle so maybe I can work on that this weekend. I am making us a guest book on shutterfly.com with our engagement pictures in it, which is coming out really nicely but I feel like it is getting a bit expensive for just a guest book.

Sorry, I know I am rambling and bless your heart if you are still reading all this jibber jabber. I guess I just needed to get all my thoughts and feelings out and just vent a bit. Am I crazy for being this down in the dumps? Will this pass? I really don't feel myself. And every time I move past what happened one day I wake up and something else happens the next day. I guess I am just looking for some encouraging words. Sorry about this, thanks for reading!

FH & I have been getting into minor arguements lately too but we have those cycles where we'll argue and then won't for a while. it'll pass, you're probably just stressed out from work and him from the uncle thing. just make sure to communicate and you'll be fine.

i'm sorry bout your friend from work. at least she isn't badly injured. your boss just being a jerk, nothing you can do about that just deal with it for now. and i check every night at least 5 times to make sure i set the alarm. i'm OCD like that.
and there still are times i forget but my dog wakes me up cause he knows he gets to pee every mon-fri at 7am.

you'll get out of this funk, just relax this weekend and you'll be fine. eat chocolate that usually helps me.

Awww...don't feel sad. Sometimes we have our bad days, but it will get better. I feel your pain...yesterday I had an emotional breakdown because I took a quiz for my GRE's and I didn't do so well...but today I'm determined to study more and just brush off all the negativity.

So everything will be alright Feel better...it's FRIDAY!!!!

I am sorry you are feeling this way!! I can relate. I have been in sort of a funk myself for the past 3 months and cant get out of it.. It causes arguments between me and the FH as well.

You have alot going on all at once right now plus the wedding planning which we all know is not easy. Hopefully this will pass for both of us. The best advice I can give is just try to relax and do things that make you happy.. also spend some quality time with the FH this weekend just relaxing! Have a drink or two and alot of snacks!

Hope you feel better soon

I think that being down, with all that you have going on in your life right now (especially family dramas), is normal As for argueing with FH this is healthy. If you got along perfectly all the time it would get a bit boring!!!

Planning anything is always an emotional rollercoaster ride and your wedding is probably the bigges oen there could be.

I will send you big 's and a . Feel better and know that all of us feel down sometimes.

Honey, I TOTALLY understand how you're feeling, and when it rains it pours, you feel like what else can go wrong, and you think it will never get better but it will. I'll be praying for you and FH, things are bound to get better, if you need anything, please FM me!!

Awwwww

Sorry to hear- these things happen all at once and it stinks. As for you and FH fighting- FH and I never really fought 'til we got engaged. And we had some really rough fights too but it's normal. It really is. With the stress of wedding planning and other issues, it's bound to happen.

Don't worry. You will get through this- promise. And regarding your friend- thank God she is okay despite the scrapes on bruises. It could have been worse!

And, we are here for you anytime you need to vent!

oh dont worry, these things happen and always at the worst time ... I think the best thing for you and your FH to do this weekend is not do anything wedding related and just sit around the sofa and watch movies! That will relax you both and you will fee better come monday

Re: Feeling really down...

When things like this start happening to me, I usually just pray, take it easy, and do some nice things for myself.

If you aren't spiritual, you can still take some quiet time for yourself to meditate and reflect. I always feel a lot better after I do that. No matter what it is going on, you have to remember that your peace of mind comes first. If you don't have that- you run the risk of neglecting and/or abusing the many wonderful things you have in your life.

I have a really good friend who always helps me put things into perspective and change my perception of things. Talking to her helps me change the way I view the situation thats troubling me.

Perception is KEY. AND its completely with in YOUR control..which is the beauty of it! ;)

I feel your pain...I know family drama so well.I am kind off in a weird mood lately too. Things are not progressing as fast as I would like them to in terms of wedding planning and somedays I feel like it will not be the wedding of my dreams...
Try to take it easy and relax or maybe hit the gym or run...always makes me feel much better
