How do people feel about having a female photographer as the directing photographer on the wedding day?

Re: Female Photographer
My photographer is a woman and I heart her. She's fantastic and awesome at getting details. I think it's a good idea.

Re: Female Photographer
Kind of an odd question. But I would have no problem with it. I am using Artisan Media Group. My 'team' will have all men from what I understand, but if there was a woman, that would be fine too....
Unless you have some crazzy people in your family who have trouble taking directions from a woman! LMAO
Not only is she a women, she's recently married (and a former LIW bride) and I just think I have to say less to make her understand what I'm thinking and what I want in regards to what photos I want and moments I want to capture.
But you know its an odd question ... I wouldn't reject a male photographer that I felt comfortable with.

Re: Female Photographer
I like the idea of a female photographer because I think they will capture those special moments that when you see the picture will be very emotional. They may have a better eye for detail

Re: Female Photographer
When I went to look at a photographer the lady that I sat down with told me that the persons pictures that I liked was a woman and asked me if I would have a problem with that. I was shocked that she would ask me such a question and I said that a woman wouldnt be a problem at all! She said that some girls feel threatened by women...

Re: Female Photographer
Some of the most amazing photographers I met with were women! I would have booked her but she was booked on my date. To me it doesn't matter. Male/Female, who cares! As long as they are friendly, artistic and fun!

Re: Female Photographer
i LOVED mine!!!!!!!
I do have to say - sex plays VERY little into how good a photographer you are (says me, a woman photographer).
It's all about the EYE...you either have it or you don't....but i couldn't be happier with my female photographer, Geraldine - with Twelfth Night!

Re: Female Photographer
I would love to have a woman as a photographer, it would actually make me more comfortable during the 'getting ready' shots. I recommend Lina Jang.

Re: Female Photographer
When searching for a photographer I didn't have a preference of what gender the photographer would be. I just wanted someone who take great pictures.

I feel fine with it. Mine happens to be a man, but if it were a woman it would be fine. Why does this matter....?

Re: Female Photographer
I have a female photographer, and couldn't be more thrilled! I just wanted someone professional, yet easy going , with a great eye for detail. She is the package! But if it were a guy with the same qualifications it wouldn't matter either way to me....

Re: Female Photographer
My photographer is female and she's also the owner of the company. I just got my e-pics done recently and her work is amazing! Male or female, the work speaks for itself.

Re: Female Photographer
I don't really get the question... I am a female photographer. My photographer for my wedding is female. I guess I feel great about it. what is the difference?
