FERTILITY CLINIC

FERTILITY CLINIC

So this morning me and fi went to a fertility clinic to check out his swimmers, he had cancer when he was 17 and underwent chemo and radiation for two years. Things for the most part are normal or close to normal. I wanted him to take this test because I was worried. Is anyone worried about fertility issues with yourself or fi?

Not necessarily worried. If we can't have kids, then we can't. Trust me, I want nothing more than to have FH's children but it's in God's hands.

I am.
I'm adopted and I always wanted to have biological children. I developed a medical condition 4 years ago and the doctor's had to pump me full of drugs and one of the major side effects of one of the medications is infertility.
I try not to think of it and just hope for the best, but if I can't have children biologically, I know my FH and I will be prepared to adopt!

Thank you! I know whatever happens happens. And FH and I both know we want kids, whether it's biologically or not. And since I'm adopted I think I'd be in the best position to help my kids with any adoption questions/emotions they would have! I've come this far so I'm not going to let it get me down!

Re: FERTILITY CLINIC

What's crazy about fertility is you believe that because you were born with the organs that you can concieve. After taking depro (bled for 2 months straight i) I didnt have my cycle for a year. I went to a doctor who had to put me on the pill to start my cycle. Then I had to go off the pill to see if I could start a cycle naturally. After all that happened, it made me realize that fertility is a very shaky thing!!! Second opinions are always a good thing.

Re: FERTILITY CLINIC

This is too funny... not really funny but I just made an appointment with an Reproductive Endocronligist (sp)

My Fh has a Sickle Cell 'C' trait and I have a Thalisimia trait... so when combined there is a 1 in 4 chance of our child being sick, like really sick for life... which obviously is not good.

We are going to go and see what all of our options are...

I cannot wait to go!!!!

ETA... I think this it is always safer to go to a Fertility Dr just to get checked out... espeicailly if you are in a mixed relationship... every ethinicity has different traits and you never know what can happen once they are mixed... just an FYI!

LOL those doctors were crazy. Lots of women have tilted uteruses. Mine is way tilted and I'm not worried at all. My mom also has thatand had me and my sister. No problems during either pregnancy and she was 37 when my sister was born.
