I just wanted to share with all you ladies that my FFIL is the absolute best in the whole world! My real dad has alzhemier's! and he was not ever there for me since i was 5. But anyway, I asked my FFIL to give me away on father's day and he cried so much! I cant begin to tell you how much I love him he is so special to me! He goes everywhere with me he came with me to pick my dress..worked late all week so he would not have to work sat! came with me for the limos, the reception, the dj, the photographer, the video guy! you name it hes there for me! He is just the best. Its so awesome having a dad! I missed all those years but I am so happy to have one now! He was watching his wedding video with my FMIL last night and he was crying saying how i am going to walk her down...i am going to cry sooo much!! (he is my FI step dad never had kids and married into a 3 boy family! he never thought in his life he would have this opportunity to walk a daughter down the aisle & i never thought i would have a dad to walk me! so its just so nice!) Anyway, I picked the song by Faith Hill..There you'll be to dance with him! That sound good?? Let me know~!! P.S. See the pin i gave him on our engagement party!! he was so happy to wear it!!

You are very lucky. I almost started to cry. My Dad passed away very suddenly a few years ago and my FH has also passed away. I am not close with my in-laws but I have a feeling that if Fh dad was alive I would have loved him.

irishbride i am sorry to hear about your dad. just one thing you mentioned your FH passed away i know you meant FH dad but just go back and edit that b/c I would not want people to think something bad happened to your FH. And once again i am sorry to hear about both your dad and FH dad's i am sure FH dad would of loved you very much to as much as your own dad.
