Re: FG/RB outfits

I am not sure if there is any rule, but I would think that it is up to you. Some people do and others don't. I didn't. We paid for 1/2 of the wedding and we had a lot of job issues this year, so it would have been a little hard for us.

Re: FG/RB outfits

Our FG and RB are from the same family. We paid for the FG dress. We really wanted to do this because she had two kids in the wedding, but another big factor is that my aunt paid for MY dress. So really, it was the least we could do

Bumping to see if I can get some more help
We really don't have the money to pay but I feel like we should and I think they expect it.

Re: FG/RB outfits

My FG and RB were my niece and nephew, so my mom( (their grandma) paid for the dress and tux.

I was never 100% sure on having them. FH has four nieces and one nephew and it wouldn't have been right to pick just one. One of his sisters has more $$$ than the other and both live out of state. The one sister with three kids is flying in from the midwest. I would have also wanted them dressed formally... we are having a relatively small wedding that I am paying for (FH is paying for our neew kitchen and I have to buy a car when my lease is up 7 days before the wedding). When I did the math it would cost approx $750. to outfit them as I would want them dressed formally . Secondly, many never even walk down the aisle... they freak out (understandable at that age). It seemed like an awful lot of money that I, personally, would rather use someplace else.

Oh, I should have mentioned, I'm not having a bridal party so there would have been 5 kids and 4 adults (B, G, BM, MOH) in the party... would have looked strange.

Re: FG/RB outfits

Seriously, who has more FG or RG than the adults in the bridal party.

I was told by my FMIL that we had to have all or nothing... ok, then NOTHING!

I guess I'm getting my way on A LOT of things. It's my FH's second marriage and my mom is deceased... I have zero 'MAMA DRAMA'. This is also why I'm only having a MOH and no FG or RB... want to keep the drama/meltdown factor to a minimum.

If there will be any drama/meltdown... I'll be having it thank you very much

If I'm paying, I get to make the drama
