He's in that mood again ladies- going through what we have spent so far, estimating what is to come, reviewing what we have saved so far, etc.
I think he has it down to the exact penny
Anyone else's FH do this?????

Re: FH and the Wedding Budget
He made an excel spreadsheet for us but we're really doing great as far as the budget goes so there's nothing for us to stress about.

Michelle,
Im an accountant & FH is way worse then I am! lol He has every spreadsheet possible going on! lol Finally I broke down & made the budget spread sheets work. But FH is a fanatic! HAHA! We are like you guys on the older side & we are paying it for ourselves. Our parents want to but we wont let them. Its hysterical how he is so into it!

I try to involve him in as little as possible for this exact reason!!!!!!
Me too... but I am the one with all of $$$$ so I feel like everything is on my shoulders, to save, to budget, to make everything balanced and work - it is overwhelming

Re: FH and the Wedding Budget
FH doesnt do it, I do. I have everything written down on what we both save and what we spend. I have to otherwise we would go over budget!!!

The same with my FH - he would rather have a house than a wedding, but he knew how badly I wanted a wedding. I'm not working right now so he's the one who's been putting the deposits. Besides the RH (my parents are paying for that) we are paying for everything else.

Re: FH and the Wedding Budget
Fh and I are both stressed about it because we are paying for this mostly ourselves with a small contribution from my parents. I am the one looking for all of the vendors and setting up appointments but when it comes to the payments, we have been splitting everything. I am trying to be optimistic. We are doing the best we can with finding good prices but the only thing I can do to make myself feel better is save, save, save and be hopeful.

Re: FH and the Wedding Budget
I'm good with the finances, so Fh trusts me. he doesn't get involved, he said there are other things for him to worry about. I couldn't agree more, if there was something I spent a little bit more on, I don't need him barking at me...
I'm fine without him know

Re: FH and the Wedding Budget
my FH gets very overwhelmed by the process of planning anything big. he trusts me to handle everything and keeps his nose out of budget matters.
when he starts stressing about $$, i give him the reassurance speech that everything will be fine.

Re: FH and the Wedding Budget
My FH set the budget in the beginning and has been paying for most of the deposits so he knows whats been spent. I try not to divulge the little things I have bought.
