FH didn't get groomsmen gifts...

So my FH didn't get groomsmen gifts...Should I bug him, let it go, and figure he will be the one looking bad, or go out and get something for them? I really feel like it is his responsibility but he thinks everything people give is stuff they wouldn't use anyway...

Yeah bugging seems to have lost its power lately.... Maybe he invested in some earplugs...

Re: FH didn't get groomsmen gifts...

Honestly, these are his groomsmen. If he doesn't feel like getting them anything, that is his business. I wouldn't get in the middle of it. It's his responsibility.

Yeah, that's how I felt, but one of them is my brother, so maybe I will just get him a little something....

I am bother fh too about it. He has time, but hasn't even thought about it yet. And I have all my girls presents already. I am going tokeep bothering him about it, but I refuse to do it for him. He hasn't done much as far as preparation for the wedding and I'll be damned if I do the one thing he is responsible for.

Sure, every little bit helps! Actually he'd probably be pissed at me for posting about it...

Hmm, that's true. Maybe I'll just casually mention it one day, like: 'Hey, Joey's trying to decide what to do for a groomsman gift. What did you get yours?'

If it were my DH, I'd bug him to do it. If he really wouldn't I would get the gifts myself.

We haven't gotten our groomsmen anything yet either. We are getting all of them Kenneth Cole watches. I have to go to the mall sometime this week.

Here's the thing--I think he intends to take them to a baseball game or something, BUT my brother is in the wedding party, doesn't live around here, and doesn't know his friends. And his brother lives in Florida so wouldn't be around to go to a game. So I would rather give a tangible gift.

ETA: He doesn't have anything to give them at the rehearsal or anything...

Re: FH didn't get groomsmen gifts...

I think he should definitely get something for his guys. if you think he'll get pissy if you bring it up, you might want to get them something yourself. The Red Envelope website usually has really cute things.

Re: FH didn't get groomsmen gifts...

You should definetly tell him he has to buy groomsgifts & if he refuses & says he doesn't think it's necessar, I would just be the bigger person & buy something for them, because it will look bad on both of you if the ushers arent given something.

Re: FH didn't get groomsmen gifts...

Tell him itis rude not not gift, because you are givng the bridesmaids gifts.

If he wants to take the guys to a game, but doesn't have tickets yet, make up little IOUs & get your brother a gift card to something near him, so it is a comparable gift.
