FH called me to tell me that he's really upset because he mentioned to someone that our HM is going to be in Playa del Carmen, and the person responded by telling him that thats only Cancun and that he's being cheap and that our honeymoon is cheap, and why wouldn't we spend more money for our HM and go to a more romantic HM place like Italy or Hawaii!
He told the person that they didn't know all the details and tried to tell them where we were going and they still said it was cheap.
He's FUMING!! I am too, I think that person was rude and completely ignorant to say something like that to us.
FH, I love you and I know you are lurking on the site!

I was just in Playa Del Carmen last week. Its gorgeous and there's so much to do! And it was in no way cheap. You and FH are going to love it!!

I'm going to Playa del carmen on my HM and i've heard nothing but great things!! And its by no means a 'cheap' place to go

a honeymoon is where you and FH want to go. I just think its messed up that she would try to make him feel bad about it. The place we're headed too isn't a whole in the wall either.
If you were wondering, this is where we are headed.
I am going to Playa Del Carmen and by no means is my honeymoon anywhere close to cheap! Some people just have no manners!

a. Does it really matter where you go, it's who you are with that matters and b. it's your honeymoon so no one should tell you where you go.

Some people are just like that, they can't really be happy for someone...it causes them anxiety...so they have to point out something bad. I have a BM like that, I love her, but she always has to point out something bad and can never just be happy for you. Don't worry about it, you will have a beautiful honeymoon and an amazing time. You shouldn't worry about what that ***hole thinks.

I hate how people think they know everything when they have no idea. I've also heard wonderful things about that area and so what if you were going to cancun! Nobody needs to spend millions in order to have a beautiful romantic hm.

honestly, I think people should mind their own dammmn business- even if you dont like something that someone else is doing & think its cheap- unless you are asked for an opinion, I think people should just say thats nice.
i dont think your honeymoon is cheap at all- I am sure you will have an amazing time and to helll with that guy
