FH turns 30...

on jan 2nd of 2014. So I clearly have time... but I want to do something awesome for him. Thats obviously the year of the wedding and when ALL of the guys turn 30 so they are planning a trip to vegas as a 30/bachelor party around october of 2014.

Soooo... I'm deciding between us taking a trip somewhere... OR... doing a big 30th surprise party. Last night my cousin threw her hubby a surprise 50th and it was great. Restaurant... dj... photographer the works.

Fh and his family aren't big on birthdays like I am (once june hits.. I'll be celebrating 25 all month long LOL) so I'm wondering if maybe that would be TOO much. After all there are two family weddings next year so I think it might be overwhelming on his parents (his mom is a serious introvert and his dad is battling cancer). So part of me is leaning more towards the trip but idk where we would go!

Any ideas?? I need to start saving now lol

FH turns 30...

I threw a 30th surprise party for FH last year. Tomorrow is actually is 31st birthday! I had all of his friends meet at his favorite restaurant. I made a reservation for about 20 people, everyone ate and drank and paid their own way. I was nervous people were going to expect me to pay for everything, but we all split the bill and it worked out great. He still talks about it every time we go to that restaurant!

I always vote for a party, but I think the trip would be a good idea. You've been doing so much planning, it's also a treat for you, and that way you don't have to add to your stress level even more. But either one would be great, and he'll appreciate either one

I say party because I'm starting to plan my FHs surprise 30th for June! But, if you think he's not really into his birthday or parties I think a trip would be awesome. You can't go wrong with either.

FH turns 30...

Both FH and I are turning 30 in 2014 and we both agreed that we don't want big parties since we didn't want to take away from the wedding. Also, our friend and family are spending a lot on us that year so we didn't want to add to that. So we are thinking a long weekend somewhere!

FH turns 30...

I would say a trip. I surprised FH with a trip for his 25th Birthday and he loved it! For the amount of money a large party would cost he would much rather a vacation

It sounds like a surprise trip is more his speed, so that's what I would say. But I do agree, that you can't go wrong either way :)
