hey ladies , so we finally made it in and set up our tux group account or whatever they call it. i tell ya - i was IRRITATED at how easy they have it. i mean i knew this in my head - but geeze!!!
ok so here's my question. my dress is 'Ivory' you know how everyone's ivory is different - and i don't have a swatch yet unfortunately......but its a pretty white ivory i would think. i mean - no one is going to look at me and say 'she's wearing ivory'
anywho - what color should FH's vest and tie be??? he'll have ivory roses....
i currently have him wearing ivory ... but then i'm not sure how that will look with a white shirt...which is apparently what 'everyone' does according to the little tux man.
what do you think? do i put him in Ivory vest & tie with a white shirt or do i put him in white?????

My dress is white and FH is wearing white on white. I thnk you will be fine. I know the frustration you are talking about with the whole 'group' thing. Something that should take about 10 minutes took us about an hour and a half. But I did have them throw in FH's extra shirt for free. Saved me $5.00!!

crazy i know. I'm just not sure if ivory on a white shirt will look wierd...or if ivory will look TOOO ivory next to my dress. ugg - any ladies out there have their FH in ivory?

I'm wearing a Maggie in ivory and took a swatch along when we picked out tuxes. We matched my swatch to the vest and ties that FH liked, and he made his final pick. The tux place also rec. a white shirt but FH and I both prefered the look of their ivory shirt under the vest/tie.
To me its personal preference. I don't think anyone would really notice but us

My dress is Ivory and FH is wearing white shirt and Ivory vest and tie...I though it wouldn't go but it looks good. The tux place I went to doesn't have ivory shirt but if i wanted it I had to buy one. So if the white and ivory is bothering you then you can just buy one.

My dress is a very light ivory also. FH will be in an ivory vest and tie, with an ivory shirt (IMO white shirts with ivory vests clash). Just as there are lots of shades of ivory for our dresses, they have lots of shades of ivory for the guy's vests. I just picked one that looked like it was on the light-ish side. When you see them all next to each other you can totally tell the difference.

im wearing a maggie ivory dress and my dress place told me to make sure Fh is wearing an ivory shirt. we haven't gone for tuxes yet but that is what i have been told.

I too am wearing Ivory, but it is a true ivory - no mistaking it for white - FH ios wearing an Ivory shirt and vest/tie will be peridot or blue. Go to Mens Warehouse website and you can mix/match different color combinations to see the differences.

My dress is diamond white...which is whiter than ivory but not bright white...but I have dark hair and a tan, so it's probably going to look pretty close to white. I initially ordered the ivory vest/tie with white shirt...but now I'm thinking we may have to go white vest/tie....IDK, so many decisions!!!
