fh's bachelor party is better than mine

so apparently my fh is going to have a great big bachelor party in vegas..5 days they are going for...and i'm only getting a simple bachelorette party for one night out here somewhere out on LI I'm thinking..because none of my friends can afford anything..It also sounds like not many people can come to mine either its got me kind of down in the dumps...am i overeacting or would you be bothered by this

maybe u could do a combined party so u both have equal amounts of fun

well, i am sort of in the same situation, but i am not too bothered with it...for mine, we are going to dinner and then the awesome 80's prom in the city....FH wants to go to AC for the weekend, ...could you maybe plan something low key and overnight, like out east, fire island, or jersey shore and stay at an inexpensive place? I will keep thinking about this for you

awww. did you ask your friends if they could do something longer..like a weekend maybe. Maybe even if a few can do the weekend, then you get 2 celebrations

either way- you will have a great time

we could always do a LIW bach party gtg

yep! no one has money.,...which personally i think is bs..because half of my bm's go on shopping sprees daily.. I feel so unloved by them

i am sorry....that stinks....have you expressed you wouldlike to do a bit more? I think its only fair that they take into consideration what you would like to do....and they have a few months still to maybe put some money aside for the night

exact same situation here... FH and his buddies are going to vegas and my friends cant afford anything big like that, so we are either going to do one night out in NY, or possibly go to AC for a night (taking the bus). I'm also really afraid nobody will be able to come to mine... my sis/MOH kept saying she wanted to plan my b-party but ....... it was like pulling teeth to get her to send an email to my bridal party and a few other friends to try to get them to save a date. (sis wants me to wait until after her 21st birthday which really limits us w/ respect to possible dates)

my biggest fear is that it will end up being me, my sis and one bridesmaid at a sh!tty bar in RVC or something....

yep I hear you ..i just wish my bp and my moh will listen..they constantly say how money is an issue..but i know it isn't and everytime i say something my mother or someone else will always criticize me and say im not appreciative of anything

im going to spend a night in the hamptons..i figured it would kinda feel like we are away..we can go to the beach during the day and out at night

oh no! id be upset too since im sure your fh is going to spend a decent amount of money going to vegas, can u just book a hotel for a night and tell your girls its your treat bc u want to do an overnight thing?

aww, i would prob be upset at first too but just remember no matter what you do youll be with your best friends and youll all have a great time...are there any friends of your who would be willing to stay over somewhere??? even if not everyone stays and you just stay with 2 or 3 of your friends that could be a lot of fun!
