Same thing happened to me! DH went to Atlantic City for a night but he still got to spend the night in a suite with strippers and then went clubbing. I stayed local in NYC and just went dancing. I still had a good time but I would have liked to get a suite with the girls too.

why is it that all of the fh's are going to vegas we should plan an liw bparty in vegas!!!!..i hate the whole concept of the bachelor party in the first place..your getting married...why do you have to have one last night single?!?!? its like implying that your losing your freedom..

It did a little bit. Especially since my girls probably did have the money to go its just no one stepped up to plan it except for DH's cousin and she had already done so much for me up to that point that I wouldnt let her plan it. I basically gave up and just said okay we'll just go to the city.,

DH's friends stepped up right away and planned the whole thing without letting DH worry about it at all. Thats what bothered me. I wanted that SO BAD. But you cant force people to care.

aw im sorry..sounds like my situation..i know how you feel

i would be a tad bit upset...cuz its far away and for 5 days.

but i wouldnt let it get you down. as long as u have your close friends with you...you'll have a great time doing anything! but maybe talk it over with your girls again and let them know what ud really like to do that would be good for everyone.

i've been thinking about it and while i am making some gross generalizations here, i think there is truth to a lot of it

1) guys dont have the expense of a bridal shower/gifts (and hair, makeup, shoes) so they can afford to spend more on the bach party

2) guys are more excited about the idea of a bach party (vegas, strippers, etc) than some girls may be. i know FH's friends really wanted to go to Vegas and found a way to make it happen, while some girls may not be as into the bach-party idea and would be less willing to save up and take $$ away from other things to go all out

3) sadly, many guys have higher paying jobs (FH's friends are lawyers, i-banking, business while my friends are still in school or are teachers assistants/teachers)

I don't think they are doing it to be mean... but hopefully if you tell your friends how impt it is to you they can figure out a way to throw a party you are excited about

one of our friends (and a groomsman) is getting married 2 weeks before us... he's going to vegas with FH but his fiance wont let him go with the guys to a strip club, so he's going to hang back in the hotel room when the rest of them go...

i would feel bad if my husband went to vegas and i stayed home. i understand. me and the girls are just renting a hotel room and are going to hang out. we are going to go to dinner, get mani's and just hang out and have a relaxing time. just talk to your girls and tell them some of your ideas. the bp isnt a surprise so tell them some of your ideas and see what you guys can work our

FH is having a better one than me too- and im down in the dumps about it as well!

I dont blame you - there prob isnt anyting u could do, but smetimes i wish jon (his best man and one of my best friends) was planning it - he also seems so much more into it than my girls are

To be honest that I will be a little jealous and upset. Sadly, I might have to post something similar before my wedding in Nov.
