Final DJ appointment last night

We finally picked and agreed on music!

Our first dance will be You and Me by Lifehouse
FH is dancing with his mom to The Wonder of You by Elvis
I'm dancing with my step-dad to My One True Friend by Bette Midler

We won't be doing the bouquet/garter, we'll be doing the Anniversary dance instead.

The BP will be coming in to the reception with some house music, and I compromised with FH that we'll be walking in to Love Walks In by Van Halen. Honestly, I wanted Enter Sandman by Metallica but FH didn't because he felt it would be too dark and a downer for a wedding! Whatever, he's happy and I'm happy, it's all good.

One more thing down...T-Minus 7 days!

The Anniversary Dance is when they invite married couples to the floor with the bride and groom and count up in the years (5 years, 10 years, 15, etc) until they get one couple left who is married the longest. You have the B&G, who've been married the shortest and then the couple who's been married the longest and you give them the bouquet. It's a nice alternative to the bouquet/garter, and really is a nice moment about marriage over the years.
