I spoke to 1 photographer who asked for the final payment 2 weeks before our wedding. I thought that was so strange. Just wondering when final payments on photographers, DJs, etc are due. I would think for photography it would be when you pickup your album. What if you're not satisfied?
I gave a small deposit, The rest is due the day of. However my photographer is giving me a HI-RES CD with all my photos at the end of the party. I'm doing albums at a later date.......& I'll pay for than when I have the money.

you are right, 2/3 of mine is due before the wedding, and the rest when we pick up the proofs. I assume all photographers arn't the same...but I wouldn't want to pay in full either.
We owe most of the $$ in late June, but $400 isn't due until we pick up the proofs ($100 I believe) and then the final $300 when we pick up the album ($300). You should absolutely check with the photographer about this one.

Thanks everyone! I just think I'd feel much more comfortable with a photog. who makes us pay some, but not all, before our wedding. And now I know there are a lot out there who do it that way. I think we'll keep looking.
