FINALLY registered for pre-cana

Re: FINALLY registered for pre-cana

I wish we were doing a 2 day pre-cana. We had a welcome meeting last week, a session this week, a wedding planning mass tomorrow, 3 more 2 hour sessions over the next few weeks and a culminating mass!

The things we do for love!

you're telling me im not even catholic lol

That's great! The things we do for our FHs. I was raised catholic, but am non-practicing since I had my son and had a fight with a nun. But FHs parents would never forgive me if he didn't get married in the church, so I must re-find my catholic upbringing!

WOW thats alot...yeah we figured this would be best and just do it all at once, this way we dont have to worry about it interferring with upcoming events...Especially now since we have an e-party coming up soon, fh has a bachelor party to go to, then his friend is getting married, plus the holidays.

I want to get mine over with but they said that they will call me when it's time.

That's where we are at. Sent in all the paperwork, got a call in August saying it would start sometime in September. I never got a call, so I called them and asked, but apparently there is an issue at the church with who is in charge, now they said sometime in the winter. It better be, since the next one after isn't until after our wedding!!

Oh no i hope it all works out for you. I better call and make sure that they don't forget about me.

That's what I told FH when I sent in the paperwork! I am doing this for him and his family. After the problems I had after my son was born (I wasn't married and the church all but refused to baptize him) I swore I would never step foot in a catholic church again let alone marry in one! I am having a little issue with it since I almost feel like I am compromising myself a little, but it's just NOT worth how upset his parents (or mother for that matter) would be over it.

yeah just look at the schedule they have and see which one is best for you, make sure to pay attention whether its in brooklyn or queens...I almost registered for the november interfaith pre-cana until i realized it was in brooklyn. It will also show how many spots are still open.

awesome!
you know that we're doing a really personal form of precana with our minister & i can't tell you enough how great it is for us, obviously you won't have to read scripture for a long time, but reading the bible together is something i wish he & i had done years ago, you guys will enjoy it (hopefully )

You can probably just call the rectory office and they will give you the information if they have it there or give you info on where you can go.
