Finding the perfect gown...

Finding the perfect gown...

Ok so I am going to start seriously looking at some wedding dresses and I was just curious... what feeling did you get when you realized that it was 'the one'? Did you cry? How do you know? I tried on a dress last weekend and I absolutely love it. I only tried on 4 dresses and so far this is at the top of my list. I want to try on some more but how do you know that you found the right one??

I honestly didn't try too many on. I knew what look I wanted. I tried ones on that were out of my comfort zone and then to feel it out, then when I tried on what I was looking for I knew it was the one. The girls I took said they could see it on my face, I didn't cry though.

I said yes to the dress 3 times lol, no tears, but it looked great on me and it was what I was looking for. These wedding show make us think that you should start crying when you find the dress and that isn't always true so don't stress yourself out.

I *think* I found 'THE ONE' but I'm not sure yet. I'm going back to try it on next weekend. I think it's the one because I didn't want to take it off. I felt so beautiful in it. The more I think about it, and imagine FH's face when he sees me, I just KNOW it's going to get that OMG reaction. And, really, I DID NOT want to take it off! LOL!

I knew I found the one when the first words out of my mouth looking at the mirror were 'Holy $hit!' hahahahaha What can I say?? Looks like a lady, talks like a sailor!

i didn't cry. I went to my first appt to try on different styles and get an idea of what I liked, then I went to two more stores with an exact picture in my mind of what I wanted. When I found a dress that fit the description and looked good on me, I picked it. I knew that there were about 239472937439274 other dresses out there similar to this one, so I could keep looking and further confuse myself, or just pick it!

I didn't cry but it was the only one that I tried on that made me feel like a bride. The others were just white dresses to me! And the fact that I go to my dress shop once it a while to try it on confirms that I love it hahah creep?!!?

I knew it was the one because my mom started to cry immediately, and she kept saying 'now that is a wedding dress' It was the first dress i tried on!!! I tried on all different styles after because i wasn't sure since it was the first one. Then, I put it back on and i just knew....also some guy was walking around that worked there and he was like i hope you are getting that dress! Just thinking about it makes me so excited! I can't wait to wear it!

I didn't cry and I just was - wow and people in the salon were just 'wow' and I knew it was the one because I didn't want to take it off for 1.5 hours! I only tried 5 dresses and the 5th one was it. Afterwards, I kept looking at pictures and other gowns but so glad that I went with my gut. Can't wait to wear it agian!

I thought I knew what dress I wanted until I tried on the dress I actually bought. I tried it on maybe 3x and everyone in the store told me how amazing it looked, my mom got emotional and once they put the veil on, I became very emotional. I didn't cry until I left the store. I honestly never thought I would know, but it just was so pretty and I never saw myself wearing it.

I tried on over 100 dresses. The first dress I was put into was $2500 over my budget, but it was beautiful. I didn't know the price until I put it on, and of course, couldn't afford it.

From that point on, nothing compared. I was so bummed, thought I'd have to settle for an 'ok' dress.

I found another dress with similar detail to the one I loved. It is a Tara Keely, which is not a widely carried designer. So, while I had 2 salons attempt to locate a sample, I kept looking. It literally took me 4 months and 7 or 8 trips to salons to find my dress. I probably went to about 10-12 salons.

Finally, one of the salons located a sample, I went in, and I just knew it was it. It felt like it was me.

Honestly, I'm going to be the odd one here but I cried as soon as the sales person put it on me lol. She didn't even lace it yet and I was crying because I knew.

I tried on a lot of dresses and I wasn't wowed by any of them. I had a look I thought I wanted by looking at a lot of dresses online, then when I saw them in person and on me, they just didn't cut it.

When I finally found my dress, I got very choked up because you can see yourself as a bride and then I knew it was the dress :)

I didn't cry. I had my first appointment to just try a bunch of dresses on and see what looks good on my shape. Then went to another place and showed the lady some pictures, she picked 5 dresses and the first one I tried on I LOVED. I pick apart every dress I tried on, and found at least one thing wrong with it - I couldn't find anything wrong with this one! You just have to go with your gut. :)

Which one?! The one I got was a few seasons old, I think it's Spring 2012, and I've literally never seen anything like it.

I cried as soon as I seen myself in it. I also knew it was the one because I didn't want to take it off & had no desire to try any other dress on. It was the 5 th dress I tried on.
