Fine China from Bed Bath and Beyond

I want to add Fine China to my registry. I went to my local bed bath and beyond and they don't have fine china. In fact, you have to order it online! They only have it in two stores in the country. I'm a little hesitant to put something that pricey on my registry without seeing it. Has anyone done this? The store said it could be returned to the store if I don't like it.

you could register for the china someplace else. people may not be comfortable ordering it online, or may not have the capabilities.

Someone could go into the store and see it on my registry and the salestaff would order it online. :) I'm thinking about going to Macy's. I dont know if I want to have another registry just for china alone tho.

I went to BBB in NJ, I think in Clifton. They had china displayed. The other things is, if you go to other stores, like fortunoff, you can select a few styles you like and then see if BBB has it. This will let you see them in person. Or, check what BBB has. If there is anything that strikes your eye, go to a different store to see it in person.

I'd do Fortunoff's. Or, if BBB carries standard types of china (Lenox, Waterford, etc), check it out at Bloomingdale's or Fortunoff's and then just add it to your registry online. But, if it's their own brand, or something you can't find somewhere else, I personally wouldn't do it - you don't know how it feels or even precisely what it looks like.

I know! They told me to go to Macy's and check out the china there and then add to my list online

I ordered my fine china from BBB. People can go to the store and order as well as ordering it online. Honestly, I couldn't care less about fine china, soo overwhelmed picking out a pattern!! My mom actually emailed me a pic of it and i liked it and that was that!! I received 2 place setting for my engagment party, and it is really beautiful-Royal Daulton..
But i Def agree that since you can't touch it or look at it in person, head to another store and jot down the manufacturer and style of the one you like and see if BBB has it.

I just registered in the BBB by me and they have fine china. I'm not sure how far out in the island you are, but the BBB in Elmsford (right by White Plains) has china.
