Fingers Crossed *** Update***

Original post by NickandTara426

I went to David's Bridal yesterday in hopes that I could exchange my dress for an Oleg Cassini that I LOVE they told me that they could not take it back because I bought the dress in May. the manager gave me the phone number of who I assume is her higher authority. I called and left a message. I am praying that they will allow me to do this. Small vent...but I am seriously hoping that this happens! Fingers crossed! TIA

** They told me no...she put me through to the District Manager and I left a message..I'm really upset...I don't know what to do...she told me no bride wants a dress that was hanging in a closet for three months I'm so sad

****DB just called me and told me they will exchange my dress!!!! I wanna do cartwheels down the street I'm so happy!!!!

Dude, keep calling and talk to as many people as possible. I am the biggest NAG in the world when it comes to getting money back or making a return. Explain to them that it sat in your closet and it's still brand new. Tell them that people buy samples so them saying that they won't take it back b/c it was in your closet is major BS. Tell them that you were planning to buy 10 BM dresses from there (It's a lie but it will work) and now you aren't so sure with their poor customer service. And furthermore- that you just want to exchange the dress for another. Tell them that if this doesn't happen, that you will not buy the other dress and the BM dresses from there. I guarantee you they will let you exchange it.

That is total BS!!!! Brides purchase sample sale dresses, why wouldnt they want yours thats like new and not even altered. When the DM calls, if he says no, tell him that you are going to write everyone at corporate a letter stating how sad you are and telling all your friends to not go to DB because of the bad CS and how they ruined your day. He will let you switch it then.

Once, i had a horrible experience with 1/800 Flowers.com and I wrote literally everyone in corporate a letter (from the president to the head of the CS - like 5 poeple) and i got a call right away with apologies galore and a free 100 gift card.

That is a fabulous idea!!! Thank you girls!!! Now all I have to do is remember this and try not to cry!!!!

write everything you want to say down and keep the paper handy at all times so that when the DM calls you, you have it ready and can come at him with these points if s/he says no

I wrote everything down...now I'm prepared lol...Which DB did your sister order from? And how long ago did she get married?

I don't either they are being STUPID...I feel so juvenile saying that ...but seriously it's nto like it's been tried on a million times by a million people sitting IN MY CLOSET!...I think it's because they are all linked to the same computer maybe

Try the one in Westbury. I have been to both DB to look at dresses and I think the Source one in Westbury is a hell of a lot better than Lake Grove.
