finished pre cana

This weekend and I have to say I hated it.....sorry to be so blunt but it was sooooooooo long and soooooo boring that I dreaded going back the next day.... the only good thing was 2 other LIW girls were there so we got to chat Oh and FH didnt think it was bad we totally swapped this weekend lol I thought I would be the one dragging him there hahaha

Thats so funny you're not the first bride i've heard say that FH didn't completely hate it.. i think they have much lower expectations thats why they can handle it! Did you do the two full days 9-4? Thats what i'm doing wanna get it over with

I had pre cana this weekend too.. FH and I hated it so much, I actually was really pissed off during the whole thing and then in the review we had to fill out I was really mean about how horrible it was. I can't even explain to you but FH and I were both on the fence about the catholic church and this pushed us off. We are officially done with it.

the first day was 8:30-3:30 and the second day was 8:30 then 11:30 mass then we were out by 1 the second day wasnt as bad as the first ....God I feel like such a bad bride hahaha

It was nice having you there. I have to say ours wasn't bad at all maybe it was your group, we had Deacon Frank and he was funny. FH though Saturday was way too long but other than that he didn't mind it either.

I went through my first round on Valentines Day! 9a-3p.. and it wasn't as bad as I expected either! It was actually really cute and I'm totally not dreading going for the last session

You're right - we brace ourselves for the worst and then are so happy when its not horrible

We did pre-cana this weekend as well....in Douglaston. FH liked it more than i did, I had a splitting headache and just wanted them to shut up. Our couple was really sweet though and they didn't get out of hand with the jesus talk. So glad it's over though

I had my first pre cana session on Friday night. We're doing 3 2 hour sessions. Our couple was super sweet and told us we will not be using the book. I didn't mind pre cana; our couple is not hard core religious it was kind of fun.

Too bad you hated it. I actually LOVED pre-cana. I thought it was a great way to learn more about myself and FH. However, it's good that you are done and that you don't have to go back.
