First Dance Lessons
I know that a few of you are looking to take lessons for your first dance. I just spoke with a very nice women today who gives couples private lessons to reherse your first dance. Her name is Mary Scerbo, 631-242-1796. Here are the details: She recommends 6 1-hour classes. Classes are $50 each. You should call her a few months before the wedding to arrange the lessons and send her your first dance song. She teaches in Centereach. Your last lesson is the week before your wedding at your reception site. She said the reception site don't have a problem with that as long as the room is free. That way you practice on the actual dance floor you will be using. She also stressed to me that a dance backround is NOT important at all. Just thought I would pass along the info. There is a coupon for a free 1/2 hour lesson in the Winter LI Bridal booklet that you get for free around town.

First Dance Lessons
Thanks Michele! Richie has been talking about the lessons, and my father highly recommends doing it. After my mother passed away, he remarried, and found it difficult dancing with his new wife. Before their wedding they took dance lessons, and he said it is money well spent. He also told me that he went to his friend's daughter's wedding, and there is extensive footage of him dancing with my step-mother on the wedding video! Seems he was one of the best dancers on the floor and the videographer took a lot of footage of him!

I live on the south shore on Long Island and FI lives in Port Jeff and its 64 miles from my house! Port Jeff is in the same area of centerreach, It takes me well over an hour to get there. Since you would be coming from the belt parkway it would even be longer. There are dance places around here that would be much closer for you. Just trying to save you a long trip!

It would be almost the same as coming to visit Mark Kauffman's place. It might be very difficult for you to use her, but you can call her. Maybe she also knows someone out your way.Welcome New Vendors
