First Engagement Spinoff: Is DH/FH your first proposal?

Was your DH your first marriage proposal? Did you turn someone else down previously? Obviously if you were engaged before you have accepted before ... how many proposals have you had?

For me there was one other before DH. He proposed twice actually. Once without the ring, once with (same guy). I was able to stop him halfway through getting down on one knee. But then he went out and got a ring (I think he thought that's why I wouldn't let him propose). Then when he did whip out the ring... I literally RAN away. It was awful!

There was one other guy, my High School Sweetheart, we were to young though - only 17 when we got engaged. I grew up in Florida and that is how things are done down there most people get married right out of High School.

but I cant say the same for FH. He was engaged prior to me to a girl who lives two blocks away from me!
Yup, we went to HS together. She is two yrs younger. Well, anyways..that didnt work cause she met someone else and lcuky me got FH

Who Who???? I am so nosy! you don't have to share if you don't want. Did your fiance go to school with us? I didn't recognize him.

Technically i was proposed to only once & NOT by DH!

Once was in HS ( it was a total joke, we weren't dating, but he made me a clay ring in cermics class
)

DH never really propsosed, wh just sort of got married.

You know the twins Laura and Tara? (they are two yrs younger)
Laura was his fiance before me.
Funny right? I knew about their relationship too when they were dating...then by accident I met him.

My first serious boyfriend and I assumed we would get married but at the time marriage seemed so far away. We were in out early 20's.

It's funny b/c when I compare my mindset in my early 20's to the early 20's women on this site, I was sooooo different. The early 20's women here are much more serious. I was pretty much goofy and only interested in having fun with my friends.
