I am so excited, we have our first visits planned for this Saturday at four venues -- Bourne Mansion, De Seversky Mansion, Royalton and Woodlands. I am a little lost at what to ask when we get there so any tips, particularly site specific ones for those who have been before, would be awesome.

Hello! I'm new to the board and just wanted to say 'hello'. It seems we are looking at similar venues. Keep me up to date and let me know how it goes Saturday. I'm supposed to be going to the Mansion at Woodside Acres tomorrow night and The Woodlands on Monday. What time of year are you looking at?

We have booked at Bourne and can't wait for the wedding. Biggest advice is keep your mind open and let them know you are shopping around when they quote you. This is the time where you have the most negotiating room. Don't be afraid to ask them if they are flexible on their price as you are meeting with other halls. Enjoy your visits! This is such an exciting time for you and your FH. Congratulations.
Oh and ask if they have any showcases coming up. They may be having one at another venue but you get to taste the food and meet their partner vendors.

Welcome! I am looking at a Saturday night in April of 2013 for approximately 130 people. I will definitely keep you posted. I hadn't seen the Mansion at Woodside before, I will check it out. Thanks! Have fun and good luck with your visits.
