Your sister is in my prayers and so are you. I know exactly the anxiety you are going through right now. My sis was in the same condition and we didn't know anything until a day later they said it was her gallbladder. The uncertainty is the worse, and all I did was freak out and pray and pray for the best. Hang in there....and have faith!

My lil sis/moh has been in the hospital since last night. They thought it was appendicitis, but now they are not too sure.

All of her levels are up and she is in major pain. They are testing her for all 3 hepatitises, possible colon infection, or maybe her appendix.

They said she would probably be there for a few days and might need a colonoscopy.

I just get so nervous with this kind of stuff. I am leaving work around 2:30 and going to the hospital. Hope I will have a positive update later.

Thanks girls

*****************************UPDATE****************
Thanks guys so much for all your support. I just left the hospital and they still do not know anything. Her colon is irritsted and there is blood in her stool. The poor girl looks like she is going through labor pains. Every 20 minutes she she gets intense pain and can't move. The dr.'s are idiots there and each say something different. If she is not better tomorrow they will do a colonoscopy. I will let you all know when I know more. Thanks again guys

my dad had a bloody stool, is she bleeding alot or just spotting? be careful with that bc thats why he had to have a transfusion, but this went on for a bit so if this is just happening then its not a problem. Dont be afraid to ask the doctors questions and ask 'is it possible its a cyst burst?, is it her gall bladder? is it kidney stones?

my dad had a bloody stool from hemorrhoids but not abdominal pain so thats weird. Again make sure that they did a sonogram on her, if not demand it. My friend that i mentioned who had a cyst burst and doctors misdiagnosed her, never did a sonogram on her. They should be able to tell alot more from that. If anything they can eliminate other theories, which is what many times has to be done in order to get to the problem.

Hope they figure this out soon and definitely stay on top of them and ask them to do every test they possibly can, the more tests they run on her the better. Good luck

Re: First time asking for prayers **********UPDATE**********

i looked up info about a bloody stool and what it can mean.

First it said what i told you above about hemorrhoids, here is exactly what it says 'Causes of blood in stool range from harmless, annoying conditions of the gastrointestinal tract such as hemorrhoid'

it might also be a condition called, melena, or an ulcer here is info on that:

In some patients bleeding can be black and “tarry” (sticky) and foul smelling. The black, smelly and tarry stool is called melena. Melena occurs when the blood is in the colon long enough for the bacteria in the colon to break it down into chemicals (hematin) that are black. Therefore, melena usually signifies bleeding is from the upper gastrointestinal tract (for example: bleeding from ulcers in the stomach or the duodenum or from the small intestine) because the blood usually is in the gastrointestinal tract for a longer period of time before it exits the body. Sometimes melena may occur with bleeding from the right colon. On the other hand, blood from the sigmoid colon and the rectum usually does not stay in the colon long enough for the bacteria to turn it black. Rarely, massive bleeding from the right colon, from the small intestine, or from ulcers of the stomach or duodenal can cause rapid transit of the blood through the gastrointestinal tract and result in bright red rectal bleeding. In these situations, the blood is moving through the colon so rapidly that there is not enough time for the bacteria to turn the blood black.
