Fitness Check-in

Fitness Check-in

so i used to belong to another blog called bootcamp buddies which was unofficially a weight watchers website....we used to all keep each other accountable for the meals we ate and planned for and the exercise we did or didn't do...

i was thinking and hoping maybe some of you girls that have good fitness routines and those of you who feel they need the extra support, would use this thread to keep each other accountable...we could post one daily or weekly and basically state what we're doing for a workout, achievements, etc...

i'm trying to get my fitness back on track...for the wedding, for my health...for me...i've been paying for a membership to the gym for 2 years and haven't gone more than 5 times...when i was a student i was working out 4-5 times a week...when i met FH i was in the best shape of my life...i want to feel that way again...

tomorrow i am off from work and i want to get my fitness kickstarted again...im trying a new gym out for free for 7 days and likely cancelling my old one...im downloading new music, got a new pair of workout pants and im ordering new sports bras...

who else is with me? we could even set challenges for ourselves every once and a while...

I'm with you! I have been forcing myself to run 4 times a week...I signed up for a 5K so it's forcing me to get back in shape.

Definitely! I just started this month - which leaves me only 6 months to get in wedding shape. I had a really tough summer (lost 2 family members and FH lost his job.) I put on 15 lbs in 3 months of summer. I NEED to lose that weight to fit in my dress and I wanted to lose 10 on top of that. So lets do this.

Today I ate pretty good. No unhealthy food (maybe a little too much rice with dinner.) I did a yoga class and a zumba class.

This is perfect timing! I just joined Weight Watchers again on Saturday, and my mom and I have been going bike riding literally every day. AND my MOH came by and we walked for two miles! I am so proud of all of this, and can't wait to finally get my health and weight under control. My dress came in on Wednesday, and I have 9 months to go until my wedding. I am so excited to watch those numbers go down, down, down! I would definitely be down for like, a weekly check-in!

I need to lose weight also. I thought my wedding would be my biggest motivation but that hasn't worked uggh. My bshoot and eshoot are next month and I haven't lost anything. I am trying to eat less portions and a lil healthier. Ive been walking home from work this wk (45min walk).

my trainer gave me a food journal that he will evaluate but I think that once I actually track what I am eating and see how horribly I eat, I can evaluate it myself!

Re: Fitness Check-in

wow i am soo excited about the responses on this thread...i posted not too long ago and we have soo many girls who want to check in and keep us all in check...i think this is awesome! i also joined weight watchers back in feb/march or so and lost about 15-16 lbs so far, but over the summer i was hoping for much more weight loss because i was out and active...but it was also a big time for parties and being off plan...so i am determined to get myself back...only 8 wks or so to thanksgiving and i want to lose a pound a week at least...that was the topic at the meeting tonight, what you want to accomplish by thanksgiving...

so let's make it a plan to have daily check in's and encouragement for healthy eating and fitness...feel free to share your plans, what your cooking, and what accomplishments you may have...

anyone feel free to start the thread each day...we can call it fitness check-in and the date...

and if a daily check in is too much for some girls, then just check in whenever you want...some days are going to be tougher than others and we are all here for each other!!

My suggestion = cover your veggies with cheese. But that probably won't help with health/weight. Just a way to introduce them into your diet subtly.

I'm in! I started today after yesterday my mother jiggled my stomach and made a face like 'you better lose some weight'. Now I'm motivated for sure!

Try preparing them differently (use different seasonings etc.,) and try different varieties, there are a so many different kinds of fruits and veggies it may turn out that you like one.

Also, if you really can't stand the texture make fruit smoothies, Yonana's, or get a juicer.
