Fitness Check-in

Original post by sportif7

so i used to belong to another blog called bootcamp buddies which was unofficially a weight watchers website....we used to all keep each other accountable for the meals we ate and planned for and the exercise we did or didn't do...

i was thinking and hoping maybe some of you girls that have good fitness routines and those of you who feel they need the extra support, would use this thread to keep each other accountable...we could post one daily or weekly and basically state what we're doing for a workout, achievements, etc...

i'm trying to get my fitness back on track...for the wedding, for my health...for me...i've been paying for a membership to the gym for 2 years and haven't gone more than 5 times...when i was a student i was working out 4-5 times a week...when i met FH i was in the best shape of my life...i want to feel that way again...

tomorrow i am off from work and i want to get my fitness kickstarted again...im trying a new gym out for free for 7 days and likely cancelling my old one...im downloading new music, got a new pair of workout pants and im ordering new sports bras...

who else is with me? we could even set challenges for ourselves every once and a while...

Fitness Check-in

P.S. I love this idea! It should totally help motivate and keep us on track.

Fitness Check-in

My mom is on weight watchers and she LOVES it. She lost about 35 lbs in 5 months and is keeping it off. I do a modified weight watchers. I don't have one really near me, so I buy the snacks at my mom's WW when I'm at home and then just track what I eat.

Also, my friends and I starting kickboxing and it is AWESOME! such a great full body work out. we got a year membership and it works out to being under $4 per class.

I try to use the stairs at work over the elevator and I take my dog for a walk almost everyday. It gives me exercise and her too!!!

This is perfect timing! I just joined Weight Watchers again on Saturday, and my mom and I have been going bike riding literally every day. AND my MOH came by and we walked for two miles! I am so proud of all of this, and can't wait to finally get my health and weight under control. My dress came in on Wednesday, and I have 9 months to go until my wedding. I am so excited to watch those numbers go down, down, down! I would definitely be down for like, a weekly check-in!

Did u join WW online or are u going to meetings? Ive been thinking if joining online for a few months now...

i've been thinking about joining online too... how much different is it than my fitness pal, etc etc.

I tried myfitnesspal but for me I didn't like it. I like the idea of tracking my food bu its hard to know the calories of certain foods, esp home cooked meals. If I ate a granola bar for breakfast that was no prob finding it but lets say I ate a grilled chicken wrap for lunch I never found exactly what I ate in the list. U can add your own foods but I don't know the serving of each thing in my wrap and the calorie amounts. I would try to pick the closet thing to what I ate but I knew it was off so it discouraged me from using it. Felt like it wasn't ccorrect so why bother...

I am going to the meetings because my mom and I are doing it together. The things is, if you purchase the monthly pass for the weigh ins, you get e-tools for free. So it was worth it for us.
