So a friend of mine from out of state didn't rsvp. I text him and asked if he was comming and he yes he was and wanted to bring his new girlfriend. i didn't invite him with a date, but whatever its fine cus he has a girlfriend now and he would have to travel here. I asked where he was staying and he said he didn't have the money to book a room and didn't have a place to stay. So what is he going to do? drive 5.5 hours go to teh wedding and then drive 5.5 hours back??? I hate that he said he is comming where I sort of know that he will end up not showing up. he is sooo random!!! And he is a huge flake!! I dont know if I should count him in the head count or not...I dont want to pay for two people and not have them show up! Ugh!

Tell him that you really need a positive answer if hes coming or not. Casually mention how youre going to put the final deposit down on the headcount and just want to make sure. I HATED when people did this. I didnt care though, I hounded everyone lol

ya I guess Ill call him right before we do the deposit. its just he is SO random! I mean he lives on a tiny sailboat right now and sometimes goes to california to work at a taco stand. Love him, but he is so flakey!!!

I would definitely try to get a firm answer from him. You can let him know that you understand if he doesn't come since it is somewhat of an expense, but that he should be honest and let you know if he really can't make it.

thats a hard one- from your post it seems like you are certain he wont show- maybe dont count them in the final head count & if they show, someone else is bound not to (from what all the other brides say).

I have a friend like that too...I'd rather her just NOT show up, because I know she will show up with BAGGAGE, know what I mean? Not to mention she complained about the cost of my BM dresses (which are not ordered, set in stone, just the dress I'm currently loving) and she's NOT EVEN IN THE BP
