Floating candle question

I burned floating candles this weekend that I got at AC moore, but after about 30 mins, the wax started melting right into the water. Does anyone know if this is typical of a floating candle?

Also, does anyone know where to get floating candles that can burn for 4 hours long?

Good question...I don't know, we bought floating candles ot put in our hot tub for my bday party last year and they immediately started melting...if water was cold, not sure, would like to know as well.

Most floating candles drip into the water after a while.

I found one place that has floaters that burn for 6 hours, but they require you to order a minumum of $100, and a case of 72 is only $38. I don't know how many you need, but I don't even need a full case.

crashing the post....do they sell pillar candles?

$99 for 36 pillars (and i only need MAX 20) is better than michaels/ac moore...but eek!!! it's $100 plus shipping!!!

I bought floating candles at Ikea a while ago and they lasted for just under 4 hours.

I called them after I read your post about burn time because it's not on the website, and that was when they told me $100 minimum order, but they are sooo inexpensive, I don't know what on earth I would do with all the candles to make $100. I asked if I could just walk into the store since it's close, but they said it's not a store it's a manufacturing plant, and they don't just have stuff on the shelves, you have to order it, which you can then pick up and save on shipping costs.

Yup, they have pillars in a bunch of sizes, very inexpensive as well. However, if a group of us get together to buy a case of this, a case of that to put together what we need individually to make the $100 minimum, I can pick them up and skip the shipping charges.
