Floral Terrace Brides

I went to a wedding there this past weekend and it was very nice. They had over 300 guests so it was a pretty tight fit (our table was almost out near the hallway) but everything was very elegant. Only bad thing i would have to say was the server for our table was not very good. He forgot to bring out the coffee and i asked for the salmon with no sauce on it (i get sick from heavy creams) and he goes okay and then forgot to bring out mine and DH food for a bit..when it did come out it had sauce on it so instead of complaining i just didn't eat it.....by that time everyone had eaten already.

The CH was a little crowded as well (no place to sit) but that had to do more with the size of the wedding...the CH is a very large room.

Anyway if you have any qeustions don't hesitate to ask me...just wanted to give you a quick review.

Re: Floral Terrace Brides

I am so glad it was very nice and very elegant.

Sorry to hear that your waiter was not too good...this is something I will definitely bring up with them...

300 is a lot of people...but think of it this way, that ballroom and CH room are probably 2 of the biggest you will find at some of these halls...so hey at least it wasn't an even tighter fit! I will be having 150 people so I gratefully will not run into that problem at all.

Is there anything else you can tell us nosy FT brides???

Re: Floral Terrace Brides

I would not worry about the service at our table...they had over 30 tables and anyone can get one bad server. It happens.

The CH food was soooo good..they had everything..sushi, cold and hot dishes, seafood...really nicely done.

The bar in the CH was crowded but i again think that was because of the size of the wedding.

Also the bartenders at the reception were great...they put all the beers in a glass so no one is walking around with bottles...thought that was a nice touch......

All in all the place is very impressive and nice. I went to two weddings there in 1996 and it is the same that is was back then...which was amazing.

Re: Floral Terrace Brides

Glad to hear that everything was good except for your waiter! As you said though, anyone, any place can have a bad waiter...I am surprised it was so crowded though for 300 people...the ballroom is suppose to hold up to 500....I am only have 160 though...

Did they have a band or DJ at the affair???

Re: Floral Terrace Brides

I really liked the reception room at the Floral Terrace and almost booked there, I just couldn't guarantee the numbers - my wedding guest list is much smaller. But I liked the room very much. I never had a tasting but I heard the food is good. All in all, it's a good place for a wedding reception.

Re: Floral Terrace Brides

They had a DJ...which i didn't like...too much techno for my liking but he got people dancing.

I know the halls says it holds up to 500 but i would be shocked if they could....they had round tables though so maybe with rectangle tables they could. Our table was 23 and we were sitting near the one of the doors where people come in...

My hall said they could hold 300 and I had 250 at mine and we barely fit everyone...so i think they might pump up the numbers a bit.
