So Fh and i have a week to kill before we take our cruise so rather than staying in new york, we want to go to florida. We were looking for a beach type place (cruise leaves from miami but many people told us there are better places to stay.) I need recommendations on hotels please!! We were looking into Key West, Key Largo, Daytona, and Hollywood. We're looking for a nice hotel on the beach for a reasonable price and you know a clean hotel with no bugs For those of you who have been to any of these places, your opinions and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Oh we are also looking for a good night life. Someone said key west bars are open till 4. Is this true??? Thank you all!!

i sort of enjoyed miamis night life better than key wests. key west was great for me to enjoy for a day but i got bored after a while. its not all that big. we stayed at the sheraton grand in key largo which was decent for us, not sure if you want to upgrade for your honeymoon. might i also suggest Naples (about hour and a half from miami). we love it there....there is a quaint shopping, great restaurants, beach, golf, sunset cruises, zoos, etc. if you're looking for a rowdy night life, it might not be the place for you, but if you're looking for relaxation its really nice to visit. we usually stay at my uncles house, but before it was built, we stayed at the hilton. hth!

We stayed for four nights at the Sheraton Suites in Key West...across the street from 'the best beach in key west'
It was GREAT! Clean, great service....we got the honeymoon package and got free breakfast every morning. It's about a 5 minute drive to Duval street but they have a shuttle to take you there. We rented a car from Miami and drove, it was about 3 hours.
