Florida Honeymoon question... HELP!!!
I need some help. For our honeymoon, my sister is letting us use her time share in Florida at a Disney Resort. Anyway, I was thinking to break up our theme park honeymoon, (Disney and Universal) that maybe we can go on a 2-3 day cruise somewhere in between. The only place that has that short of a cruise is to go to the Bahamas. I really don't want to go there. I've heard nothing but bad things about that place. I was really hoping we could go to St. Thomas, but the shortest a cruise is to go there is 7 days. I thought about going to a beach on the coast for a couple of days, but I can't come up with one that's really nice, and romantic. I thought of Key West, but it's too far from Orlando. I was hoping to see some kind of turqouise waters. Can you see that in Florida? I don't know. I need some guys!!! Thanks!

Florida Honeymoon question... HELP!!!
Unfortunately, Orlando is smack in the midle of the state. Sanibel Island and Destin (both on the West coast of Florida) have beautiful beaches, but I am not sure time-wise how far they are from Orlando.

Florida Honeymoon question... HELP!!!
Have you tried looking at cruises that leave from Tampa? I haven't started our honeymoon planning yet so I haven't really looked into anything, but my FH and I are both from Fla. (Ft. Lauderdale area) and I think that is where we are looking to leave from and it's just a short ride from Orlando. Check it out, it might give you a few more options. I'll let you know if I get any more info and if I can help in any way please let me know. You can email me at [email protected] Good Luck

Florida Honeymoon question... HELP!!!
i agree that the bahama's is not so great, the natives are very pushy for one thing. HOWEVER, I have been on 4 three-day cruises to the bahamas (with the girls though) and had a great time....most of the time is spent on the ship, relaxing, drinking, meeting people, etc. (they will sit you with other newlyweds/couples at dinner which will be fun) - then there is one day/night in the bahamas, if you just get right in a cab and go to paradise island, that was the nicest place in nassau I think, you can lie on the beach and whatever, there is a casino and a couple of clubs for night time. bottom line, for a three day cruise it's really the only place to go and I think you should give it a shot~

Beaches
Go to beaches on the gulf. You can go to Siesta Key which is in Sarasota and is about 2 hours away. It's a beautiful beach with pretty blue water.

Bahamas Cruise
We went on a 3 day cruise to the bahamas and loved it. We did blue lagoon island, lounged on the beach and went jet skiing. Also we wnt snorkaling. In the evening we we went to Atlantis which was a blast. . I wouldn't go to the Bahamas for a 7 day vacation but the 3 day cruise is a perfect legnth of time.Welcome New Vendors
