So I went to what was supposed to be a great appointment yesterday and left in tears .. I thought my florist was all finalized, she was supposed to make my sample centerpiece last night, which she did and FH and I played around with it and approved the sample. Then she decides to say well in order for you to have this centerpiece at your wedding it's an extra $50 a centerpiece ... I was shocked!! She denies saying that she gave us a final price when she clearly wrote it down (and I have a copy of what she wrote -- but forgot to bring it with me last night) so then she crossed out what she wrote on her copy and wrote the price of $50 more...like we would not notice! We have about 40 tables .. Is she crazy????
I don't know what to do. There's less than 3 months till the wedding!
Can you girls please recommend your florist?
TIA!

Did you already put a deposit down with the florist??? Maybe she can tweak them to the price range you had initially thought.

I can't believe she would even make you a sample that's out of your price range! That's awful!

Tommy at Cress in Douglaston (on Little Neck Parkway). He was great to work with, had no problems about staying within our budget and didn't surprise us with an extra fees.

Try Michelle from Hidden Essence (vendor on here). She is super awesome and stays within your budget! For as many flowers as you're gonna need, I would try her!

Yes we booked her back in December .. she is willing to give back the deposit but I am just livid about this whole situation! There's less then 3 months left.

Re: Florist...
that's extremely frustrating but don't worry ... three months is plenty of time to find someone new!
