Re: Florist advice?
I haven't started looking either, but my friend recommended Malkmes Florist & Greenhouse in Port Jeff Station - she used them last August for her wedding and loved them. Malkmes Florist & Greenhouse

Re: Florist advice?
I used Yeva's Flowers for my wedding.
$2,500 included:
• 13 large centerpieces with flowers, crystals and candles • 1 bridal table décor • reception ceiling draping & a bouquet in the middle of the ceiling • reception draping of the bride and groom alcove • 1 bridal bouquet • 1 maid of honor & 4 bridesmaids bouquets • ring bearer pillow • 1 bouquet for the entrance • 1 bouquet & decoration for the card table (with feathers and flowers) in the hallway • garter belt for the bride • decoration of the cake table • aisle runner • flower petals for the hand-held cones and for the aisle • draping of the stairs to the 2nd floor • decoration of the 3-tier cake with fresh flowers • 2 mom corsage & 2 grandmother corsages • 2 dad boutonnieres, 3 grandfather boutonnieres • 1 Groom boutonniere • 5 Groomsmen boutonnieres • hanging Chuppah with Swarovski crystals, candles, flowers, and draping
It was convenient because she traveled to meet me, and most of the communication was done online.

Re: Florist advice?
Burton's in Melville. They are a wholesaler and charge you based on the amt of ppl you have - not the type of flowers you want. Plus they ended up throwing in like 6 free corsages as a ty. Here are pics of my BM's bouquet, flower girl basket & then my bouquet...they did an amazing job...if you call or email them..ask for Bobbi...she's the best!
check out Daisy Garden, they are a garden depot, super cheap and just as beautiful as flowers from a florist. they are located in Bayport. check out my review to see some pics
good luck!

Re: Florist advice?
I second Burton's... I'm using them and my MOH used them last year for her wedding. Not only are their flowers very very reasonable, they lasted for about 2 weeks after the wedding and they are GORGEOUS!!!! Every time I see a new arrangement or BoK from them I'm even happier that I booked them!

We booked Gina after meeting with several florists. She's one of our favorite vendors. Great communication and awesome customer service. Not to mention she's very talented.
