I have a question for those of you who have booked a florist. How far in advance did you begin meeting with them? I have started calling smaller local florists and many suggested that I wait until June or July to schedule an appointment for an estimate. I was told that I would get a better, more accurate quote. That seems to be cutting it a bit close for a September wedding.....Any thoughts? TIA!!!!

I booked flowers by brian in nov 2007 and my wedding is oct 2008
Maybe the larger shops let you book early.

Same here... I would book as soon as you can. They could get busy and not have any space available if you wait to long and there prices could go up. I booked mine a little over a year in advance so that way this past september/october I could get my sample centerpieces made with the in season flowers... leaves out the guess work.
