Florist questions...

Okay, so I am a little clueless when it comes to flowers. I have a few questions that I am uncertain of the answer to...

1- Does the groom wear the same flower as his groomsmen? Or does he match whatever flower is in the bride's bouquet?

2- And then if it is 'anything goes', what do most grooms generally wear...a cala lily or a rose?

3- What are you ladies doing about decorating the church pews? The florist I went to said put a bow on every other pew, but only do the first 5 rows or so. My aisle is realllly long, so I am afraid that it's going to look silly with bows on just the first few rows.

4- My dress is ivory (but so light that it could pass for white). Do I hold ivory flowers that blend with my dress, or do I get a white bouquet that makes my dress 'pop'?

You can use whatever flowers you'd like for bouts. My BOK was a mixture of yellow roses and white daisies, and DH wore a yellow rose bout, the GMs had daisy bouts and my BMs BOKs were just daisies.

As far as pew bows, even if your aisle is really long, most photos will only include the first few pews, which is why your florist probably suggested you only be concerned with decorating those.

First of al you have a great wedding date..

My DH wore a Calli lilly in hot pick and it was in my BQ and the GM wore a calli lilly in light pink found in th BM BK.

I also had an ivory dress and thought white flowers looked strange next to it so I wnet with color and loved the ivory dress with some color in flowers for a summer wedding !

Nobody else knows the answer to these questions?

dh matched the rest of the guys with his bout. They all had mini calla lily bouts. But doesnt have to be rose or calla lily, can be any flower you want. I had peonies bok and i dont think that would work for a bout.

for pew bows, yes they did every other row and did 12 I believe

Personally, i like the bok's that are mixed so it stands out a bit against the dress. So maybe pink/white, or another color mixed with white or ivory

We did everyother ..we had a very long aisle I think we went to almost the end of the church with every other

this is a personal preference I think white or ivory looks beautiful...I went with a red and hot pink bo-k...its totally up to your prefernce,,to me they are all gorgeous
