When do you make appts to pick a florist?? I think my wedding planning book said 6-9 months before. Does that hold true?

Re: Florist timeline
For me personally, I couldn't wait that long to book...especially if you had a particular florist in mind and wanted to definitely use them. We booked our florist the beginning of November and our wedding is next December.

Re: Florist timeline
I signed my contract with Hidden Essence 11/26/11 for 9/15/12. I say find your vendors, sign the contract and check it off the list.

Re: Florist timeline
I did mine last in October, but I did not need CP's. But I would certainly start to get an idea of who you want to see. They typically don't book up too fast..but you never know.

Re: Florist timeline
If you have someone in particular then check them out before someone else books them. I booked mine a year in advance, but I think the latest to wait is 6 months.

Re: Florist timeline
I might go early because so many vendors I go to say they are booked already for certain days in 2013. Sheesh!

exactly!! It's crazy just HOW EARLY they do book, so that if you DO have a specific vendor you def. want to use, you should just go and do it! FH didn't believe how early things booked up.

Re: Florist timeline
We booked about a year in advance but I wasn't certain about what I wanted and changed my mind more than once. Just make sure they are flexible with you! Love Michelle from Hidden Essence.

Re: Florist timeline
I made florist appts for this month for my Oct 2013 wedding. I was going to wait until after the new year but I want to know what I'll be spending on flowers and centerpieces already so I don't want to wait. I really think its never too early. If there is someone your interested in, go check them out. Lots of things are booking up for 2013 already so I can imagine for 2012. Good luck!

Re: Florist timeline
Our wedding is 9/7/12 & we booked our florist in the beginning of November.
This was the one vendor we shopped around on the most so I wouldn't put it off until 6 months before...
