When you searched for a florist, what was your experience like? Did the florist create arrangements on the spot for you....did they show you pictures only.....did they schedule a second appointment for you to come back to see arrangements? DId you leave knowing or seeing exactly what flowers would be used?
I knew what flowers I wanted to use. I went to 3 different florists, 2 knew what I wanted showed me pictures and gave me prices on that. The other was not even listening to me at all, gave me something totally different and double my budget. decided between the other 2 and did not see a sample until 8 months later and it was perfect.
We searched Martha Stewart weddings and project wedding found what we loved and brought those pictures to florists . We had won a free expensive bridal Bo k at one showcase ...but that florist was awful even at the first appt. so we ran away. We Found with all my heart flowers ,they gave us great price for what we wanted and made samples for their next bridal showcase. We are alternating centerpieces and one had an issue at the showcase. The other blew us away, so they adjusted the issue.. And we are so excited with every piece. Lenea is amazing. When you see the work going out of there you just know they are among the best. Lenea will spend hours with you till you are happy and she has found a way to give you what you love within your budget.. My daughters wedding is 12 days away. And one thing I am not concerned about at all is flowers... That is a gift! Hope that helps. If you don't have pictures of what you want there are books and books to look through and lenea will turn it all into a cohesive beautiful thing!enjoy the process and only deal with people that treat you amazingly well!
I went to 2 florists. Both showed me pictures of their work and also showed me current bouquets and arrangements that they had on hand. The florist I decided on drew up a picture of the centerpieces I had in mind. They also showed me some flowers they had on hand to give me ideas of what to use. I just made my last appt with them to make the final decisions. I will be bringing pictures and the original sketch they drew up for me. Hope this helps =)
I went to about 5 or 6 florists. They were all different. Some looked at pics I said I liked and said they could do that, gave me a quote and that was it. One made me a sample on the spot before I left and said if I wanted to come back with my mom or anyone else to see another sample she would do it for me. One only took out 2 flowers to show me the colors to see if I liked them and that was it. They all gave me quotes, some took my idea and actually used it, others took it and went on their own which I didn't like (the one who showed me a sample first appt). The one I booked showed me a sample about 4 or 5 months before the wedding and if I wanted anything changed she would but she got it dead on.
We showed the florist what we wanted and s showed us flowers and looks she had done. She will do a sample closer to the wedding and then make any adjustments we want.
I refused to meet with any florists who wouldn't provide me with a sample centerpiece BEFORE booking. I e-mailed back and forth with a few florists and eventually went to go see the sample with Designs by Rose. I left the meeting knowing exactly what type of flowers would be used. There was even a stipulation in the contract that said if cherry blossoms were unavailable on my date that I would be getting some money back and dogwood would be used instead. Dogwood was used and I got some money back and it looked just as beautiful as if it were cherry blossoms.
We went through photos and we discussed ideas, which the consultant wrote down. We put down a deposit, I beieve, but we did come back about a month later to see a sample centerpiece
